So happy I found your videos and channel! I’m really interested in applying and pursuing FA as a career. I used to speak German as a kid but unfortunately have lost the language due to not using it. I can still can speak the very basics and understand it a bit watching German tv shows on Netflix. I’m looking into taking in person classes for a few months and hopefully reviving the language. My question is, if for example I apply for an airline as German speaking 2nd language, will the interview be done in German or English?

Hi Abby! First of all, thank you so much for this information! It has been incredibly helpful! I have a specific question that I was hoping you could help answer. I have a face to face with an airline soon and am worried about my past coming into play with my eligibility for being hired. I am in long term recovery and have been sober for 6 years now. It’s been the best thing that has happened to me in my life and I continue to be heavily involved in the recovery community. My question is, if I have previous arrests. Misdemeanors and Felonys (all non violent/ theft related (no DUIs) embarrassing but I was desperate to support my habit financially). Also; there are multiple charges however all charges were ran as concurrent. My thing is- I have NO convictions. I was able to successfully complete a recovery program that allowed all of my charges to be dismissed. I have not been in trouble since. Would I still be able to be hired by an airline company and how serious will it look on my application? Also, do you have any advice for how I should bring that up in my face to face. I want to be as honest as possible.
