At first I didn't think it made sense that Andross was a HUGE brain and eyeballs in his true form, but when I think in the context of the rest of the bosses it actually has some logic to it. Even if Andross once was a normal guy like the rest of the people in universe, he is also capable of creating massive bio-weapons like Vulcain and Bacoon. It is perfectly reasonable that he turned himself into a bio-weapon during his research. Spyborg might even serve as a turning point for him where he grew bored with robotic engineering and wanted to focus on biological warfare instead.

But all of Andross' laughs, grunts, and screams in the English game were kept over from the Japanese voice track, where he was voiced by Daisuke Gori. @jasonjellie9342 Жыл бұрын
It’s not a flaw as such. The ship is flying horizontally forward based on the positioning so the debris is rightly falling above u based on that shot. HOWEVER, this is a flaw in that in the final shot before the explosion the ship flys out the roof which contridicts the flight inside the base coz IF he flew out the roof that would suggest it was a vertical flight which DOES mean the debris was falling incorrectly if he’s supposed to be flying upwards. My guess is he was supposed to be climbing upwards but they screwed it up

In case you wanted to know, these are the actors who reprised their roles from Star Fox 64 and some additional characters they did in the remake. Mike West did Fox and James McCloud. In the remake he did those same characters plus Wolf O’ Donnell and Andrew Oikonny. Ja Green did Leon, Shogun Pilot, Sarumarine Captain, Forever Train Conductor, and Area 6 Commander for both 64 and the remake. David Frederick White did Rob 64, Pigma Dengar, General Pepper and Attack Carrier Pilot for the 64. In the remake he did those characters and Andross. Lyssa Browne did Slippy, Kat, and Spyborg on both 64 and the remake. I will add another actor. He is not from the original game, but Jay Ward who voices Caiman from Area 6 and Yaru de Pon from the training stage, does voice Wolf O’ Donnell in Smash Bros Brawl, Starlink, and Smash Bros Ultimate.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid. I used to play this game so much that I can basically recite all of the bosses lines. However, I could never beat the real Andross because the fight with Star wolf was impossible (for me). When I did beat Star Wolf, I could never beat Andross because I was so weak from the fight with Star Wolf. I played the game a lot but I was still pretty terrible at it.
@chalexgamer39478 жыл бұрын
Ikr? For me, Star Wolf on Venom are the hardest bosses in the game. To defeat them quickly it's highly recommendable to have the double blue laser and all of your buddies and never lose them, cause if you do, it will take you a load of time to kill them and if some of your buddies are gone, the most of them will chase you in group firing at you merciless, and dealing you heavy damage until you are destroyed. And even if you Barrel Roll they still damage you, so you must do somersaults or U-turns as quickly as possible. Normaly a single Wolfen II deals great damage, but in Expert Mode they deal even MORE! So imagine when they attack in group! I remember the dishonor I had one day when I was playing Expert Mode and I was about to fight them, but suddenly Peppy crashed into me and knocked my DBL off (In Expert Mode one single crash can break your wings, and some of your buddies can betray you), leaving me unable to win the battle easily XD. So I had to give up and turn the console off. I always do if I lose the DBL, as you must choose between try to defeat them in your weakest form and lose lots of lives, or surrender and try again next time.

He's not saying that his word is law. It's his opinion. He's not forcing his opinion on you dude. As for my opinion on the matter if anyone cares, most of the sounds in the game are pretty darn similar to the N64 counterpart. I like some of the new lines in the game, but some of the music in the game isn't quite as good in my opinion. And Andross' laugh in this game was hugely disappointing (a simple and generic 'hahah'...really Nintendo?), and that's really what got me to be intimidated by the monkey in the first place.

I know this is going to make me sound really petty, but between the lack of oomph in every explosion (they all look and feel more like a 'pbbth' than a 'KABOOM,' and that's just not right), the soundtrack being about as much miss as it is hit (WHY IS THERE A XYLOPHONE IN ANDROSS'S FINAL FORM THEME?!), and the pooch being screwed so hard on Andross's laugh that even the poachers are horrified...I actually skipped this one. Granted, I still have a Nintendo 64 and my original cartridge, so I can still enjoy the first game I ever played at my leisure.

I didn't even know they remastered this game! Brings back a lot of childhood memories. Im very impressed with the graphics. Especially how good the water looks! The original will always be my fave but this is pretty impressive. I would buy a DS just to have this game. Lol. ❤👍

@@LunalovaniaGaming Nono, don't listen to him, he's nostalgia blind!
@gboyst38144 жыл бұрын
@@LunalovaniaGaming Sorry for the 1-2 month delay, but on a more honest review (instead of just shitting on the game like Mr. nostalgia blind): If you still own the original n64 version, I feel like there is no need to buy this game. The original is great and there were made no huge improvements other than the remade graphics (and even then, you play on a 3ds which has a small screen). That being said, as someone who has completed 100% of both games, I can point out these differences: - The soundtrack has been remade with an orchestra-like feeling instead of the original more electronic-like soundfonts on the n64 (it's also important to point out the fact that there is no way to play the game with its original OST, only with the new one). This divided a lot of opinions on this game's oST due to personal preferences. Personally, I believe that some tracks did become better with the new OST (mainly aquas, zoness, meteo and katina), while some got very significant downgrades in the 3d version (mainly the boss B theme and the main menu's stage select theme); - The voice acting is indeed a downgrade imo. While a significant portion of the OG voice actors are in this version (Fox, Slippy, Katt, etc.), most of the lines feel much more scripted than the original and some of the new voice actors (like Caiman and Peppy) didn't do a good job either. Also, Andross's laugh is terrible in this version. - Although it may seem a little different to play in the 3ds system compared to an n64 controller, the gameplay itself (how the levels progress, how the bosses function, medals, etc.) is exactly the same as the n64 version, with only one significant difference: you now have to touch the 3ds's touchscreen for ROB's messages (which can be a little annoying but you can get used to it quickly). There is a "3ds mode" (which is an easy mode of the game that also allows for motion controls - don't even bother trying these out, they're real bad), but it is followed by the original n64 mode (which is always available; only expert mode has to be unlocked, as always). You can also edit some of the controls now, which is a great quality of life change!; - There is a new mode called "score attack", and it can be accessed after beating the main game at least once in any difficulty. This is basically a "free play" mode, in which you can replay any mission you've already completed in the main game for the sole purpose of training to score more points. The medals in this mode are divided in bronze (easy to get, basic), silver (the stage's actual medal in the main game) and gold (a more challenging medal that can only be obtained in this mode; requires more hits than the stage's medal in the main game); - You can skip some cutscenes after watching them for the first time (small quality of life change, but it's good nonetheless); - You can now save between missions to take a break from the game. However, if you get a game over in n64 or expert modes you still have to begin from scratch (in 3ds mode there are no drawbacks); - Battle mode has also been reworked and received some major improvements, but since people rarely play this game anymore I doubt these will be relevant; - Some minor improvements were made to the game's UI as well (better looking map, star wolf now has hp bars above their ships, brighter areas, etc.); Sorry for the long text, but the TL;DR is on the beginning of this comment

@@gboyst3814 no problem buddy. Yeah I'm just gonna stick to the original. ❤ I watched a lot of gameplay of the ds version and it seems like the only thing i would be interested in is the graphics. Graphics aren't important to me, gameplay and story are what matters most for me. Don't get me wrong, i do appreciate all the hard work, time and creativity that goes into making graphics, but i don't judge a game by graphics alone. Thank you for replying to me. I hope you have a great day/night hun. Stay safe and healthy. 🤝💪

I do like that smooth talking voice of the guy during training mode. Didn’t it used to be like he spoke in Morse code on the original 64?
@AntJayRod255 жыл бұрын
Everything different about this game can be described as smoother. The sounds, music, and voices are toned down from the N64 version, while the graphics, controls, and frames are ramped way up. Having experienced the original more frequently, I (most of us) prefer the older sounds, especially the music. (Replacing the trumpets with keyboard in the 2nd boss theme is just gross, and the explosions are underwhelming) They should have had an option to select the older sounds with newer graphics, that would be amazing.

Friends HATED this game because of the control scheme after finishing it on N64. It wasn't loved by them. I never actually touched the game since I didn't have a console for it but I loved the little remaster effects. The game looks prettier and smoother for an 'upgrade' from the N64 but I don't think I can judge properly unless I play it for myself.
