Y'know what? I agree. Wonder when we're getting a twisted take on Star Fox 2... Wonder if Randy Becker or Kandowontu will cover SF2 at some point? 🤔

I don't know if it's modable or not but I think a one using adventures as a base would be really cool.

Honestly I agree. Not another Star Fox 1 retelling too please, something to advance the story for any given branch of Star Fox 1's plotline! I want an actual sequel! Star Fox 3 using the SNES timeline, or a sequel in the Zero timeline, I'll take either!

@@RainbwSpctrm Star Fox Andross's Revenge, he comes back as a ghost that takes control of all technology and AI and instead of resuming his original plans, he is instead going to destroy everything including himself so nothing can exist, he builds a galaxy destroyer which would require time to charge up a massive biological emp blast similar to how the halos work in the halo games, Fox and his team go to each planet and of course fight in their ships but sometimes get out of their ships and fight on foot like Assault but as a team together and destroy all of Andross's resource facilities, but that is not enough for Andross to finish his galaxy eraser, Fox and his team run into Star Wolf and his team and they battle it out in their arwings and Fox of course defeats Wolf and his team in phase 1 of the battle, they run into Wolf and his team again but on foot and Wolf shoots Peppy and severely stuns him causing him to knockout and they all fight, Fox defeats Wolf for the final time and Wolf and his team are arrested, now it's down to Slippy, Falco and Fox, they end up having to go to Venom but Andross is not actually there as the planet is abandoned and a wasteland, though they thought his spirit was transmitting from there but they find out that Andross is actually located in the black hole void, Fox and his team decide they have no choice but to venture into the black hole knowing they may never be seen again, they say their goodbyes to peppy and pepper and their friends. They head off to the black hole but then get intercepted by Wolf by himself who escaped from custody and shoots a blast which disables Falco and Slippy's ships and they are perminatly out of the fight, Wolf wants to fight Fox 1 on 1 and finally stop Fox, however, Fox is about to defeat Wolf when all of a sudden Andross uses his powers to attempt to Kill Wolf, Fox tries to save Wolf but he rejects Fox's help and gives him a thumbs and and tells him he was always the better pilot and wishes him luck against Andross and then Wolf get's destroyed and dies from Andross killing him, Fox is pissed that his team and Wolf are down and Fox goes in alone into the black hole to find Andross, no longer having communication with Pepper or anyone he is truly alone with Andross. Eventually he finds Andross and then his ship malfunctions and forces itself on auto pilot and lands itself onto the galaxy eraser ship where Fox is forced to fight on foot with Andross who is a giant super computer screen with robot versions of himself that are tall and shoot and punch and then Andross glitches out and you retreat to your ship and fly around inside his ship looking for a core to destroy knowing you may die with him too, eventually James Mcloud appears and fights along side you in his Arwing too and Andross is shocked thinking he was dead, But in fact he actually is dead and it;s his ghost and his ship is possessed by his spirit, Fox and his father tag team Andross and destroy his AI self and the galaxy eraser, His father guides fox to the exit of the black hole but his father fades away and says his fairwell to his son congratulating him, Fox is emotional as he says goodbye to him over the com. Fox eventually passes out and is drifting in space alone in his disabled Arwing until Pepper shows up with his ship and recovers Fox and is greeted in a hospital bed next to Peppy and his friends are there to congratulate Fox as he gets a promotional rank to General Fox McCloud and Pepper retires from StarFox. The End.

Star Fox :D Okay in all seriousness though, Star Fox does kind of rule yeah, especially Star Fox 2, but for the former I really would use the SuperFX 2 + FastROM patch for it, plays better that way I might play one or both of them in the future, if... you wanna subscribe? ^^" Sorry for the shill haha, just trying to push the channel along.

This being an actual ROM hack is a refreshing take on generic .exe games trying too hard to look like the real thing, and makes the gameplay more true to form. Also it shows how the SNES would crap out if this was ran on actual hardware lmao.

Something like that, yeah! This is just about how I'd expect Star Fox to run on real hardware, kinda. Behind the scenes though, I'm using Ares emulator! Considering the timing on the first run's intro and the "Scramble" cutscene though, this seems to have the SuperFX 2 + FastROM patch preapplied. Hmmm...

@@RainbwSpctrm Vanilla Star Fox is already taxing on SNES hardware, so it would be interesting to load this ROM into a flashcard and see how a real system behaves lol. Overall, this is totally in line with SNES gameplay, from the faux 3D of Mode 7 to the piss-poor frame rate once glitching kicks in. It's a neat concept.

Even regular ol Star Fox gets a bit twisted at times! "Corneria Fell" from Star Fox 2, and the Easy route ending in Star Fox 64 come to mind...

Naaah its all good, I enjoyed the unreality storytelling that came along with this video haha, could've maybe not played the training mode every single run and watch the intro at the start but its all good!

so you really just can't kill the boss? it interests me to see the good ending, but despite the plot, there's really not any room for that.

I would assume this thing to be completely unbeatable yeah. Sure, you see the flashing polygons that would normally indicate a boss's weak spot, but there's zero indication of if actually aiming for it works at all, but to begin with, you're already at a severe disadvantage. Single blaster, and every single attack is missiles, nothing you can barrel roll. No bombs either, all that and all the while the game is tanking pretty badly, causing considerable dropped inputs. It works though plotwise, was he really gonna give you the chance to escape eternal damnation?

@@RainbwSpctrm giving you one last chance to live while the boss not actually taking damage is just unfair, but what can you expect from the devil? I imagine anyone out there would be willing to take on hours of damaging this guy until it actually does something. If it REALLY is just a scripted loss, then I also imagine it would only just freezes/crashes the game similar to the pkmn buried alive creepypasta.

Don't think anyone's answered that. Might really be impossible, I can't tell since the game drops to pretty severe framerates just having it onscreen. Lotta dropped inputs as a result.
