@PowerSkunk927 жыл бұрын
They really could. Hell, the reveal trailer practically exists already. 0:02 - 0:45. Then just close with "Summer 2020" or whenever it releases. No title necessary. The buzz from the internet alone would get the title out.
@MrNiceguy32106 жыл бұрын
It'd be amazing. Unfortunately, Hollywood doesn't trust in video games to produce good films anymore, and a film of this would surely need at least 50+ million dollars if it were a blockbuster animated film. There's more interest in low risk live action films nowadays. That said, I'd be happy just to see a feature length 2D animated film at any rate.

I was six years old in 93 when Starfox came out, I remember sitting in my parents basement, no lights but the glow of our wood grain Zenith console TV, SNES controller in hand, mom rented this for me, in my six year old mind this is what I saw on screen and I couldn't get enough of it. @@nathangamble125The G-Diffuser is still experimental, and the Arwing is actually a hydrogen ship (at least the prototypes are). So it's likely that the computer just doesn't have a system check for the G-Diffusers.
@nathangamble125Ай бұрын
@@richardkirkland6805 Even though this is super headcanon-y, I actually really like it. The point about G-Diffusers being hydrogen powered strongly reminds me of the meta-rivalry between Starfox and Silpheed.The intro animation showing the ship's specifications and 3D model in this video is also very Silpheed-esque. Silpheed was a competing 3D rail shooter series with great music, which originally came out in 1986 (it was one of the first ever games with 3D graphics) on the Japanese PC-8801 computer, significantly predating Starfox and part of the inspiration for it, but was bought by SEGA and they released a sequel/remake in 1993, the same year as Starfox. In Silpheed, the fighter is the _SA-08 "Super Dogfighter"_ and the premise of the game is that it is based on revolutionary *helium* fusion technology, which allows the SA-08 to reach much higher speeds than competing hydrogen-powered ships, and is therefore the only option to intercept the invading forces of Xacalite (a villain represented by a giant floating head, similar to Andross). Starfox definitely won the rivalry, as SEGA's Silpheed was underwhelming, but the original 1986 Silpheed game and its 1989 DOS port have a special place in history and in my heart, for its revolutionary graphics technology, and incredible music. The DOS port of Silpheed was one of the first 4 games to use MIDI instead of basic PCM or FM synthesis, was worked on by professional composers, and sounds insanely beautiful as a result - seriously, listen to it on MT-32, which was the first MIDI sound module available for PCs. Creative bundled Silpheed with their original "Game Blaster"/CMS soundcards before they developed their famous "Sound Blaster" series and took over the PC audio market, and other soundcard manufacturers gave away free cassette tapes with Silpheed's music, with the promise that "if you buy our soundcard, your PC games can sound like *this* kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2G2g4iipJmapK8". IMO, Silpheed's significance to the gaming industry as a whole is criminally underrated. Corneria theme is great, but the rest of Starfox's music is pretty mediocre, while _every_ track in Silpheed sounds incredible, on pretty much any hardware.

I almost fully expected a 90-120 minute movie about Fox after starting this. This is the remake of star fox snes we want! Straight up Arwing fighting, no tank or other bullshit. Screw cut scenes and story for the most part. Intense nerve wrecking levels where its fast reflexes and skill, not memorization of levels that count. A game where your team mates can end up DEAD. A game where you really cannot be sure whats coming up. A game where you actually feel lost in space. A game where there is no turning back. A game where the music pumps you up. A game where thinking on your feet can save you. Dramatic deaths and cool concepts. MORE STAR FOX SNES !

@JimBobJoeB0b5 жыл бұрын
I agree with you for the most part, but... If there's no story, how are we gonna be drawn into the world of the Lyat System? Duh! I like cinematic cutscenes, as long as they don't take up, like 50% of the game. I personally liked the Landmaster part of Star Fox 64, it was quite refreshing considering the fact that you spend most of your time up in the air, which is quite unrealistic considering Andross would likely EXPECT an aerial assault, ya know? I agree that Star Fox 64 was a bit too newbie-friendly at times, but the poor frame rates of the SNES game made it too hard. Unfortunately, Nintendo might never strike the perfect balance. Other than that, you're spot on.
@Digikidthevoiceofreason5 жыл бұрын
Wrong. Story is everything.
@user-roninwolf19815 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I have to rebut something you said in describing this game. The act of memorization of levels. Playing this game since it came out on the SNES, that's what got me through the game: memorization. Yes, there was that novelty of not knowing what was going to happen prior to entering a stage, but after playing them for so long after so many years, you learn what decision leads to what consequences, and you then memorize what your objectives are to ensure success and survival at the end of a mission's course. The only place in the game where quick thinking has failed me (the only place in the game) is the obstacle gauntlet in Sector Z. That one was far too random and chaotic for me to memorize and anticipate. Past it, I was able to recover and make it on to Macbeth. The things that keeps bringing me back to this game time and time again are the story and the environments. The planetary surfaces and interplanetary corridors were beautifully designed for its time, and the lore was what made the allure all the stronger. Add to that a score that both showcases the medleys and riffs of the era, as well as music designed to emulate the symphonic tones of classic space operas that preceded this game. Star Fox was perfect for its time.

I kinda agree with you..Instead, how cool would it be if the original programmers of our fav classics started pumping out 'expansions' or 'addons'. For example, imagine if they came out with another Super Mario World expanded version game. Same graphics n stuff but had like 100 more new levels or something.. Keeping the games classic feel but 'adding' stuff to it all these years later..would be cool! ah it's all wishful thinking.. SM4 example: Awesome I just killed mother brain. Samus wins!! YAY..oh wait.. This is the addon version!! I'm only half done! Mother brain had a clone! You find yourself only HALF done with the game and the excitement continues and you have that much more time to collect more 'items'. Like energy squares. So instead of 20 squares of energy (or whatever number) at the end of Metroid you can now collect another 20 squares of additional 'energy' (since you haven't even began the 'expansion' or second half yet. You understand what I'm saying though?..More missiles..maybe add a couple new items and Samus 'moves' as long as it doesn't take away the feel of the original game. I could go on forever with examples.. But its pointless I know.. It's not gonna happen its just wishful thinking.. And no one that played or likes Super Mario World or Super Metroid would even understand my post.. But when you grow up with these games it makes an impact..we call all agree there.. OK I'm rambling i ate a special brownie hour ago which has so kicked in while writing this..whoa

Friend, this is one of the most amazing video's for Star Fox I have ever seen, you gave life to something that had once lost it. If the developers of Star Fox ever see this... this game will reach number 1. Amazing work

I... I think I did cry, and I'm loving it for this. I saw the other one first and wanted to check this one out too. I would have loved to see a well placed nova bomb somewhere
