+Chris Bruno That always annoys me in a lot of games. It happens fairly often as well, and one example of that is "Super Metroid" - while it is an excellent game in a lot of ways, I did miss the original Brinstar theme a lot (the one that plays in the first "Metroid" game and in "Super Smash Bros"). Personally I think that specific locations in games should have their own associated soundtracks, kinda like Hyrule in several of the Zelda titles; it just makes you feel "at home" when locations have their associated soundtracks like that.

daveshen0880 Actually, not identical, the beginning is similar with different backing, and then corneria becomes completely different. The intention was to pay tribute to After Burner, as corneria was greatly inspired by it.

I'd love to hear this as an Orchestral/Electronic/Metal remake. In the past, I recall seeing people remake this theme as either strictly Electronic or strictly Rock/Metal, and very few attempted the Electronic/Metal hybrid. Orchestra/Electronic/Metal would be quite ambitious...

This is fucking fantastic. It blends orchestra and electric very nicely. It fits the imagery of the star fox universe to a T. If you close your eyes, you can feel the imagery of a movie dogfight with the Star Fox characters. It feels like you're watching a movie, and a good one at that. Brah-freakin'-vo.
