Okay, the fact that Michael Anasara played a Klingon and then as Mr. Freeze said "revenge is a dish best served cold" is just objectively the most awesome thing ever.

i never realized how many actors were in both shows, it makes sense since for btas they wanted to hire screen actors with plenty of experience behind them, as well as the fact that most of these star trek shows were in production around the same time as btas

Gargoyles was very much a TNG reunion....and as far as I'm aware, it is the ONLY animated work of fiction to feature voice talent from all four of the first Star Trek series. TOS: Elisa Maza's grandmother (Nichols), The Arch-Mage (Warner) TNG: too many to list, but very much all the main cast except for Stewart, Winfield serves for here and TOS DS9: Avery Brooks as the Moai Alien during the Avalon arc VOY: Mulgrew as Queen Titania And that's just the ones I can think of immediately.
@MichaelAarons1701

Loren Lester who voiced Robin was on _DS9: “The Quickening”_ Robert Costanzo who voiced Harvey Bullock was on _TNG: “Manhunt”_ John Glover who voiced The Riddler was on _DS9: “Invasive Procedure”_ Paul Williams who voiced The Penguin was on _VOY: “Virtuoso”_ Robert Ito who voiced Kyodai Ken was both on _TNG: “Coming of Age”_ and _VOY: “Author, Author”_ Steve Susskind who voiced Maxie Zeus was in _Star Trek V: The Final Frontier_ Joseph Campanella who voiced Matthew Thorn was on _VOY: “Author, Author”_ There’s more like Paul Dooley, Eugene Roche, Bill Mumy, Matt Frewer, and Ed Begley Jr. to name a few. Incidentally, many of these actors played more than one character in Trek and it would have been nice to shown that.

Yk it makes it pretty cool looking back and realizing just how many talented actors lent their voices to lots of kid shows during the golden age of animation from the 80s-00s. Also it’s pretty interesting how not just for Batman but for lots of shows there’s someone with a Star Trek credit. The biggest surprise for me is Michael Reisz (Yamato/Matt Ishida from Digimon) on Voyager lol

Some of these actors also appeared more than once in Star Trek. - David Warner was also in two of the movies. Star Trek 5 as one of the ambassadors, Star Trek 6 as Gorkon. - Paul Winfield was also in TNG's "Darmok". (Bonus points, also was in "Batman Beyond" a few times. - Rene Auberjonois also was in Star Trek 6 as Colonel West. -... as was Brock Peters as Admiral Cartwright. It's fascinating to know how many actors showed up across various properties. For bonus points, Michael Ansara and David Warner were also given neat roles in "Babylon 5". (As well as Walter Koenig, who was great to watch.)

Paul Dini and Bruce Till really pulled every string they could to make Batman: TAS something that could be considered at the same level as prime time TV. In the same way the people on Star Trek had to work to get scifi to be recognized. Not that we the audience needed convincing. Just the gatekeepers in Hollywood. Sadly, despite their efforts, Hollywood continued to look down on animation and Star Trek. And now modern Batman and Star Trek are going out of their way to destroy their legacy...

@@RipperCyclotron No doubt about it. Michael Ansara is an excellent actor. I think I first saw him perform when I was six and he starred as The Ruler on "Lost in Space." Later, I would see his earlier performance as US Marshall Sam Buckhart in the TV shows, "The Rifleman" and "Law of the Plainsman." And then on "I Dream of Jeannie" in many roles; especially his iconic Blue Djinn. It's just that I would rather have seen Michael Ansara portraying Ra's al Ghul, and would have cast David Warner to portray Mr. Freeze. If the 1966 "Batman" series had stayed on the air for another few years, we might have seen Adam West's Batman going up against Ra's. Though my first choice for that role would have been Sir Christopher Lee, Michael Ansara would definitely have been my next choice.
