This was a damn good fight. A tough as nails Galaxy class. What it always should have been, and the most accurate version of the Defiant I've seen yet. A solid showing by both ships. Adam Lee, by chance do you make Bridge Commander Mods?

Now, if you had a version of the AGT Galaxy class dreadnought with a cloak against Defiant, I would watch that.

I'd say this goes to the Galaxy class, but it would be very interesting to see this played out where there is a human on both sides duking it out. ❤

Definitely a win for the Galaxy, I might have to nerf the Defiant a little, I don't think one should stand much of a chance against a Galaxy, the weight class gap is too large

@@adamlee2111A season 1 TNG Galaxy might struggle some as the Defiant has more powerful weapons, much more maneuverable, and the armor. By the time of the Dominion war the Galaxy was much more formidable.

@@aaronatwood9298and arguably what the vision of a Galaxy class should and could be militarily speaking. Give a galaxy class a mile, it will give you a light year. The batch 1's of a galaxy class were intended to be a deterrent to military warfare and intended as a reminder to what happens when diplomacy fails. Batch 2 was like okay, diplomacy failed (on context with the dominion arc) and since you decided to stir the hornets nest, here you fucking go lol.

I could see the defiant winning if the cloak was used correctly and they had quantum torpedos vs the galaxy photons. Much weaker shields but also more maneuverable, just keep at a distance and hammer it with quantum’s, if it gets too close cloak, get distance and repeat

@@ryahanse8031 the Galaxy’s 360 degree field of fire makes cloaking effectively very difficult, I don’t want those huge main phasers hitting a bare hull. 1375 damage per shot is a lot to tank

I feel that this will always be a toss up. The galaxy has more powerful shields and more weapons but the ability of the defiant to get in ship blind spots and hammer damage could go either way

as usual the player aspect is all that matters here realistically the defiant would struggle against a galaxy class and it's fire power and we all know if they refit excelsior class ships with quantum torps and stronger phaser arrays they would have refit the galaxy class during the dominion war we know they added extra phaser arrays to them during the dominion war, and given a dominion war refit excellsior was an equal match for a defiant class then a galaxy class would have steamrtolled a defiant class.

Exactly. The Defiant was designed to punch above it's weight - but a Galaxy Class with up-to-date weaponry, shields, and systems - it's too much ship for the Defiant to handle on it's own. In a do-or-die scenario where the warhead on the front of the Defiant is used - sure. But where it's a traditional dogfight - a Galaxy Class is going to chew through the Defiant with it's superior phaser arcs - stronger shields - and even fighters (The Galaxy Class does have multiple shuttle bays with that capability). It's going to boil down to how well each Captain knows their ships - it really is a 'dream' match up. But like you said - the Lakota had the Defiant tied up - and all it took was some upgrades to their systems. A 'Dominion War-time' Galaxy Class ship would have been a monster of a ship to deal with.

Agree with all points, I think my Defiant needs a slight nerf
