I agree, it seems like the last season, they are starting wrapping up story lines, or getting characters in line for the next show. Tilly is off the academy and Saru getting married and off .. It is so good to see Book. He is a great balance for Michael. Maybe they will bring Spock in for a guest spot .

Couldn't Kovich be some sort of time-spanning security boss? It would explain his anachronistic clothing choices. When we don't see him in the 32nd century maybe he's time-jumping around trying to end the Temporal Wars. Wouldn't it be a surprise to see him pop in the Section 31 movie?

Great Review Eric. I Thought both episodes were great. I am looking forward to the rest of the season. It was great seeing Android Fred and Action Saru also known, as I call him, Steve Austin Saru.

The CGI avalanche scene, while exciting, was a little much. I had no concern about the enormous flying boulders hitting them because they seemed more like a video game effect. I did think the ships and their shields wedging into the ground was cool and clever (and the kind of desperate thing you might try in such a circumstance).

I’ve tried and tried and tried to get onboard with discovery. I watched trek for 40 years but just can’t get on with this version. Watched both new episodes there must be at least 30mins talking about emotions. Fine explore the human condition but not every episode

This is so petty but it really bothered me they used the term avalanche and I couldn't get past it. It was a land slide. Avalanches are ice and snow. I know I know who cares but I got hung up on it 😅 12:45

Looks like it may be an exciting season. Hopefully it will be fun and adventurous. Although I must say I'm in no way sad to finally see this show concluded. It should have been set in the future from the start. And I honestly have no fondness of any characters in this show. Except Captain Pikes appearance in season 2. Doug Jones is also amazing and memorable and likable. We shall see how it plays out. But I certainly won't miss it when it's gone.

This is just chasing Bonnie and Clyde in space. How could a Romulan vessel be undetected on the edge of the Beta quadrant not be seen for over 700 years? The characters are out of a 1950’s movie where they speak to each other as if they are 10 years old. “Are we in love? Are we getting married”. Please they fly faster than light, yet they have elementary school speech patterns. Burnham wouldn’t jump the shark with her metal boots on top of the soon to be warp speed vessel. Federation captains aren’t supposed to thrill seek for the fun of it.

I put up with Discovery for four seasons, I just can't do it anymore, I'm not even sure I want to watch this video to even know what happens

I've been a Trekkie since I was a kid, but c'mon I'm about to give up, I agree with you this is pissing in our faces. RIP Gene Rodenbury. Sorry for the spelling mistakes but this shits made me drink more than usual.😂

@@jasonsumby7163 Woman has nothing to do with it Captain, Burnham is just a poorly written character who was shoved into the Spock lore.

oh my God. You're reviewing two episodes and you have the same 90 seconds of video playing over and over and over and over again while you're talking about it

He's covered before that if he uses too many images and clips his videos get suspended for copyright review and it's not worth it. I'm assuming that's why here.
@aseroxd9 ай бұрын
Not really his fault though. They keep tightening the noose on copyrights. In ten years time all that's left of youtube will be the ads.

These 2 episodes sadly highlight the problem that Discovery has suffered from the beginning which are, every series the threat is massive most of the time galaxy threatening, over reliance on the McGuffin hunt premise, taking epic and making it epically stupid and finally the that's not how that works problem. The epic to epically stupid problem is beautifully illustrated by by the avalanche scene it should of been epic two Star Fleet ship straining their ships and shields to save the settlement turned epically stupid by having the ships slam into the ground like lawn darts. The tractor beam scene, so the small personnel vessel had enough power to win a tug of war with a Star fleet cruiser sized ship the plot armour is strong with this one This is sort of a side note am I the only one that tough Adira's (Blu del Barrio ) costume didn't seem to fit her properly in a couple of scenes now it may of just been lighting or camera angle but it just didn't seem right

Excellent work you got for me I missed I thought those problems with the drone from the planet were taking them with manipulation of side where the first season and I want to buy the security system I totally missed it coming from taking drift wow you know I think you’re right I think that the guy from Starfleet command doctor is no who is it who seems to be I think he’s either Q or he’s one of the garden edge of forever Hilliard‘s think it’s sold out is there 1000 of years ago me and years ago dragon do whatever they did it didn’t work so they made their genders to restart life in a galaxy and that’s what this is about tell that story and he’s there to monitor it he’s one of the left behind to make sure that they don’t destroy everything again I didn’t first time Dragon said he didn’t want to get one of the guardian people work you think what do you think thanks for the time until 😮next time like I said I appreciate all your work

You should be really careful saying Tilly’s scene talking to a guy was “cringe worthy” “being 30 yrs old” You being a self-described geek/nerd don’t sound like you’d get very far talking to a female if you even have the courage to or skills to do it without sounding pathetic. Judge and you will be judged as well. You talk too fast, loop the same 2 scenes, your opinion about what fans like or don’t like is just “your” opinion and I’m not impressed. No I won’t be subscribing. Infact I stopped watching and going back to TrekCulture.

Something also to remember: since season 1, Tilly has identified herself as having a disability, which many people recognize as an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Interpersonal interactions are ESPECIALLY challenging for people on the Autism Spectrum!
