I loved the Klingon Chef. It gets so tired to see and hear all about the damn warriors, it's nice that a Klingon with a real job appears on the show.

Doesn't get many appearances, but they're memorable.

Has anyone worked out an equation relating suckitude to the number of writers having worked on a script and in which capacity? "Sorry Tom, you're the (x)th rewrite on this script. No, I don't need to look at it. We can go through the numbers if you like, but we gotta trash this baby."

We didn't even talk about the hot new Klingon restaurant and the serenade

Apologies also if you can hear a cryin' baby occasionally, that one is mine this time.

The Klingon restaurant returns, I believe. It's a staple of the food court.

The only actually good scene in this episode is when Melora calls out the Klingon cook for trying to rip them off...the rest is typic season 1/2 DS9 flotsam

Been looking forward to this one. Love to hate it. I love "Handleface"...how does this guy drink without a straw? His nose is attached to his chin! Michael Westmore's worst alien make-up ever?

I hate this episode for a different reason every time I see it. The unbelievable romance, the terrible science, the condescending moralising.... And that old ST staple: The guest cast that can't act.

Star Trek does wheelchairs really badly. 1. Christopher Pike paralysed in a wheelchair with one of the few rooms I've seen in that has a *door handle!* in ""The Menagerie" 2. Mark Jameson's too wide and heavy to go anywhere in "Too Short A Season" 3. This, blame it all on Cardassian architecture, eh? Speaking as a wheelchair user for more than 30 years, don't blame the Cardies, it's just Real Life. But man, even I'm not that _hostile!_ I was hoping Melora would do something more interesting than have sex with Bashir who was smitten with her anyway,. (Remember this when we get to "Chrysalis" in Season 7.) But no, she's a victim in a hostage situation, who somehow fails to die when getting shot. Not that it matters because she's never seen or mentioned again, and who cares? I can't tell you how much this episode offends me. I love Melora's scene with the Klingon chef, though! That was gold! Modi. I read and loved "Altered Carbon" and it's sequels back in the day, I'm excited to watch the show.

They do have a wide range of wheelchair episodes! Forgetting about the Klingon chef was an oversight - that was some of the most powerful Klingon pronunciation we've seen yet in the series.

one of my least favorite episodes but I'll give them a pass because they wanted Melora as a regular cast member and that would have been worse than having her for one forgettable episode
