I seriously doubt that Spock Prime would have shared the details of that story. It would be VERY inconsistent with his principles, and HIGHLY unlikely considering the urgency of the situation. Prime would have told the younger Spock 'only what he needed to know, and nothing more'.

first time I saw this I thought it was dumb, but over time Ive come to prefer this over the original scene from shatner era, simply because, this is a vulcan, struggling to suppress his feelings, when his entire culture demands that he do so, a vulcan should just stand up and be like "kirks death is regrettable" but instead we see spock lose control, gives it more emotional impact to me.

Seeing as how Kirk died basically in the middle of the third act rather than its culmination, the obvious follow-up was that he would inevitably be resurrected by some arbitrary means by the end of the movie. This "death scene" to me, therefore, had all of the emotional impact of a moist towelette.

@MrTREEHUNTER223 жыл бұрын
@@Supermark420 If the only thing that stops you from viewing this as an emotional scene is the fact that Kirk survives, then I feel like you missed the point of the scene. While the first movie started their relationship, Kirk and Spock's friendship is put in the spotlight in this movie and to see Spock so emotional over the death of his friend (even though he managed to contain his emotions after his mom's death) is heartbreaking because we get to see how much Kirk has changed Spock. Kirk appeals to his emotional side just like his Spock's mother and whether or not Kirk does survive is irrelevant because the point was to show how Spock's love and connection with his mother has transformed into a connection with his friends, Kirk especially.

If only Leonard Nimoy we're just alive just to do another movie but more importantly he lived a good life and was blessed with every possibility that God has given him and he still has. And then a few years later we lost Anton Yelchin who died too soon and way too young I think what I can do is make a drawing of a statue of a Starfleet symbol and place the names of each member of the original Star Trek and remake both television and film series and written on the Starfleet symbol says These Are the Voyages of the Starship Enterprise her continuing mission to explore strange new worlds to seek out new life and civilizations to boldly go where no man has gone before and I also want to put the theme song from Star Trek next Generation after construction of the project is complete

James T. Kirk: I'm scared, Spock... help me not to be... how do you choose not to feel? Spock: I do not know. Right now, I am failing. James T. Kirk: I wanted you to know why I couldn't let you die... why I went back for you... Spock: Because you are my friend. I will give Into Darkness credit for honoring the original and yet forging it's own path. I like that in Wrath of Khan, Kirk never faced death, never really even acknowledged fear. Here...both he and Spock are genuinely relating emotion in such a palpable way. Kirk could NOT pass without letting Spock know how he regards him as a friend. There's a lament here in that neither (at that moment) could see that friendship continuing!

I feel like people are being too harsh on Kirk by Chris Pine. Pls keep in mind that this Kirk grew up in a totally different condition from Kirk (the original series).
