This is the ship that got me through Delta Rising as I leveled to 60, even though I am a Tac Captain.

Being primarily a Tactical character, I struggled with the decision on getting either the Phantom or the Eclipse. Looking at the layout of the Phantom, it would have been the same as my Fleet Defiant layout and build. So, I went with the Eclipse. I managed to get her as maneuverable as an Advanced Escort. The build I would have used for the Phantom can be used on the Eclipse. The main difference for me was the console layout. It's a great ship to use. It took me about a month to grind enough Dilithium to get the Eclipse. I have not regretted it at all. It is a great ship.

BTW After i saw your reviews on these intel phantom ships i was sold and went ahead and took your advice and bought the 3 pack and im really glad i did because of the benifit of changing nacells? . . Are they called. Making the ships even better for customizing! Loving the ships and your advice here again. Thank you!

There are a lot of different Intel BO abilities, not just the 5 you pointed out, I have different abilities across all three of my Intel BO.

Minute 26:00 recommending a change of Traits (Personal Traits / Space Rep ) if you want to make the ship shine Personal Traits -- too many Ground Stuff for a ship presentation Space Rep -- Romulan Rep "Precision" (+4% Crit ) / extra Hull -ok- / both Nukara Aux Settings -- hmm -- Reputaion Tier V -- Abilities - 2 Ground / 2 Space ...okay ... think about Nukara shield Bubble - very very Tanky ;-)

The Intel Cruiser ship is STOL's version of the prototype Achilles Class that was on Star Trek Dominion Wars game. They probably couldn't use the complete design, so they developed something as close as possible for original content.

May I suggest another patrol to demonstrate your ship abilities? Remember that Tau Dewa system where you test weapons and defenses against that small starbase? You also get a wave of small and bigger ships each without NPCs interfering. And the Starbase can really take a beating, so a good way to let special abilities stack. Also a good way to test the actual affectiveness of a build, caus it is not easy to actually beat the base before the overall timer runs out.

Hiya Doc great build and fun video to watch, for the Tac abilities I think I would have gone with Faw 1, BO 2, and torp spread 3 and for the ensign power Tac team 1but great job, keep up the amazing work :)

try to stick with one weapon type. If you combine torpedos, beams and dual beams you will sacrifice DPS. Keep the cutting beam and the omni but otherwise use beam arrays only (with CritDx3). and reskill so you have 9 points in energy weapons and 9 in energy weapon spec. Try to get a leech and 2-4 embassy consoles,the plasma generating ones +flow (try to get 9 points in flow caps too).and then try to get the core to UR to get AMP or get a fleet core with AMP

The best way to think of the 'gather intelligence' is somewhat like sensor analysis, I think. A build perspective is always interesting, I'm not a very optimum player. :)

I like the intel ships but I'd like'em more if the consoles were part of a set that helped reduce the time needed for the powers to work

in my opinion the 2 intel powers you had were the only intel powers worth using. as for command there's was about 2 i liked. Pilot has sooo many cool abilities in my opinion. great vid as always brent :)

Can you Command a Cruiser with a Tac Officer? I rolled Tac and it seems that Cruisers are built for only Engineering Characters. Will it gimp my DPS if I used a Cruiser?

Will Powell thanks for the info. well maybe in a few years. I remember the Akira class & other ships the Doctor have use with his new f2p character weren't available when I began. I still have all my 1st ships. I know have to get rid of a few to be able to use the new Tier 6 ship. haven't yet open my Ambassador class 1701-C yet. hahaha

+CmdrSloanne you can exchange you Dill for zen, so if you're patient you can still get it. I've never paid anything and I have the phantom and both Pilot an Command Fed ship sets. What I do it take a day to grind for Dyson Marks (which you can exchange for Dil)) in the Ground battlezone on my 4 characters and then log on every day (for a few minutes) you refine 8000 dil. Then exchange your dill for zen wen the rate is low. '

+Dutch Haze nl He plays for fun, he does not play for min/maxing sake and he just uses his BOFF abilities the way he wants to use them. So no, he does not need to step up his game to please you. If you don't like his playing style, watch someone else's LP. Thanks.
