First rule, don't buy anything not on sale. Rule 2 start a new character and relearn the game before getting rid of anything. Bet your people would watch.

funnily, i came to STO *because* of stuff like Discovery. You know this Question asked in forums and newsgroups, "If you could life in any fictional universe, where would you go?" and everyone was like "Star Trek of course!" because it seemed like the humans did decently well for themselves. If you land your ass on a ship you'd resign your commission before a console explodes in your face but generally the TNG future was a nice place to be and Picard and crew worked to defend and maintain. But now Star trek is a future dystopia like every other scifi franchise and everything is always gloomy. In STO you can fly about in TNG style ships, play quests you get send on by an admiralty that displays competency at times and all the people you phaser to death would just die, no need to pull body parts off of them or do any mercy killing of old friends. Some of the quests are actually good!

Unfortunately Cryptic likes to release more gamble ships than actual Zen Store ships. Cryptic hasn't released a Zen Store ship since last year around November, but gamble ships are released at a rate of 1 or 2 a month. As previously mentioned it's advised not to buy anything until there's a sale. Perhaps more importantly re-introduce yourself to STO first & become acquainted again before any big decisions. Have fun, STO can still be fun completely F2P or with 50k Zen at the ready. Good luck.

Your are the 4th person I've heard about re-discovering STO. The others vary in time away between 7-10 yrs. Chatted with them in Fleet chat rooms on Discord. Seeing your log-in and the download of items, shows some of the changes to the game. If I heard you right, you don't plan to come back in and play the game, there are websites you can sell your whole account. It's only real value is the Zen and the Lifetime subscription. It may seem like that would add up to US$880 but without T6 ships, Lockbox ships, nor Special gear, it might sell for about half that. Not wanting to insult but honestly, looks like a free-to-play account that needs to level up (Lvl 65) its Captains. The Zen gives you a good starting point for that. PS I only started 1 year ago, average 50 hrs/wk on the game, bought my Lifetime on sale 7 mo ago. PSS If you do plan to start playing again -- Welcome Back! (find a fleet with Discord for game chat/advise)

I bought this when it first came out. The missions in space were good, but the planet / space station stuff was definitely not the best. Also remember the £10 a month subscription on top of the cost of the game. Ouch. Good to see that they don't force you to use discovery as I'm not a fan of that or picardy (the series) either.

Ton of zen is great, bad news is pretty much everything else is trash and you have very little dil. You have a lot of grinding and learning the game ahead of you to get up to date gear/upgrades/traits/skills/boffs/doffs/ships/R&D/admiralty/reputation system etc. really just depends what you want to do in game. Become powerful and blast through tough content or just flutter about, explore and be casual and not worry too much about taking the ideal path for progression. As someone already said. Learn the game a bit before spending your zen, figure out what you want to do. End game can mean different things to different people and when you do spend buy when stuff is on sale the zen will go much further. Also you will see the shop section called muds market. It’s totally a troll shop and all a total rip off. But when stuff in there is on sale it’s often 70-80% off and still not really worth it.

I sunk about a hundred hours into this game. I still have it installed but my 'puter needs a massive upgrade to play it now.. It's choppy a.f. I play it occasionally on the PS4 but the graphics are crap and controls are iffy at best. I DO love this game but play the free mode and have yet to gain 1 zen. Never could get any on the trade market.. :(

any items you had before game went f2p is all just salvage junk now. There is many good starter to early end-game items you can get from missions. Oh and missions are no longer lvl locked anymore, so you can be lvl 20 with a nearly full endgame starter build. Nice thing about mission rewards is they are free upgrade to mk XII.

Wow, STO.. 60k zen isn't bad but I wonder how many times I've spent that much earned through grinding, had a system and probably made this much every 3 months. Anyway.. your stuff is of course way out of date, you have mark 10 purple, these days it goes up to mark 15 or so gold. Also your ship build isn't great in the current meta. Interesting video for someone who has been playing STO for years and here for years watching Ark videos. Is it just me or are all your female crew members maxed out on the tit slider lol. Not sure what your math there was but it sounded incorrect. The exchange shows how much each individual Zen sells for, the lowest offer on there was 490 each and had 10,000 Zen to sell. At that price you could exchange your ~100k Dil for around ~200 Zen. If you sold all your Zen on the exchange for that price you'd get around ~28 million Dil. Either way 60,000 Zen in money is around $600.. it's pretty much $1 to 100 Zen.. is that 1.50 pounds to 100 Zen? Around 900 pounds in all? Think that's right.
@Boogerfartt3 жыл бұрын
Know any methods for getting zen?
@Necaradan6663 жыл бұрын
Just the usual methods, buy it or exchange it. Making bank pretty much consists of rotating 50+ toon slots through security doff missions 2k dil each per day. No longer than 5 seconds per toon or you'll be wasting too much time 50 toons at 5 seconds is 15 minutes, take 10 seconds and you're up to half an hour.. This earns a little over 3 million dil a month which you can exchange for Zen or EC. My goal was 3 billion EC profit every three months as well as paying for the next 3 months cycle of Contraband from the exchange. That let me buy pretty much whatever I wanted.

technically nothing good enough for elite missions. either due to too low of level. or wrong stuff, turret build =fail. beam build could be great but need epic for space. ground though anything could work.

You have a poor ship build, but your resources such as zen, is really high. If you do get back into the game, defiantly try to get a better build and have it all epic, it would be fairly easy for you due to the fact you can almost afford anything on the zen store, no idea how many credits you have though.

i would play once again if it did not take more than 5 minutes to patch. i used to beat ground elite missions by the dozens per day. but then they started uploaded endless disco crap. at which point i lost all interest. i had earned like 50000 zen ish by playing elite ground missions mostly. but now i simply consider the game to be completely ruined. hmm possibly a lot more in zen by what you say. i probably had 3000 ships in admiralty.

Unfortunately, nothing there is on value except the zen, that been said if used correctly you can get the ships trait that is in most builds, the end has enough zen left to buy and sell keys to get all the space traits and gear that you might need and potentially enough dilithium to do all the upgrades that you need, No if you don't want to play the game and want to sell or gift you zen you can do it by buying keys and giving them or there are some tokens T6 that can be bough some times and be gifted !!! If you are looking to play the game and want to join a big community and ask for help learning the game there is the -STO- community just ask any player that has the -STO- next to their fleet name they are part of the Alliance of Armadas, and they also have discord with events every now and then

That spitting thing was really unnecessary and has earned you a dislike. Really find the overboard haters tedious and ostentatious, if you don't like it that's fine but you do have the option to not be immature about it and to instead just be respectful of those who do and then leave it at that.

Picard and Discovery are written by brain dead moans, that might have watched a couple of episodes at best, so have no idea about the people or universe they are writing about. In-fact the returning characters are completely different people from whom they have been all their lives. Much like the total crap of "The Last Jedi" where they took the most optimistic and hopeful person in the galaxy, and turned him into a depressed loner LMAO. It like changing Gandhi into Rambo and think that's fine. Real Star Trek had interesting stories for smart people. The new crap will never be Star Trek and it aimed at dumb people with low IQs who like to see lots of flashing lights. For example, tell me how many shuttle craft can a star ship hold? Then tell me how many shuttles did they have in the final fight of Season 2 discovery? As just one example. Or if you want a real laugh watch how Tilly out ran the fit athletic Asian guy LMFOA. Anyone with a hint of intelligence would find this shit painful Torture to watch, and I cannot think of a single show worse than discovery. It is the worst sci-fi every created and makes Andromeda look award winning! I hope I earned your dislike now :)
