It is totally right about how everyone hates the new trek series. They do the same with star wars, just turns out that everyone eventually loves Star Trek series, while Star Wars just keep dropping duds. I just wish the fandom would pick up more pace. Probably the mostly positive nature… people love chaos and war.. not realistic, thought provoking tv

Since star trek discovery was stripped from canon just how is section 31 is even going to fit into star teek main canon??

This is a misreading of a sight gag in Star Trek: Lower Decks. By this logic, since Strange New Worlds spun off of Discovery, it's no longer canon either. And since Lower Decks did a crossover with SNW, it's also no longer canon. Therefore, it doesn't have the power to canonize or de-canonize anything. Obviously, this is all ridiculous. All of the television series are canon, and everything besides the Kelvin Timeline films take place in the prime universe. End of.

Discovery was not stripped from canon. It should be, but it is still canon. The most you could imply from Lower decks is that it exists in its own timeline, like the kelvin or mirror universe.

The tricky part is that the general fan population is not in charge of writing stories. And so the distrust of others lead people to want to “decanonize” certain elements. This is just lazy fandom. If you want to write stories, become a writer and join up. Most of the writers and producers are long time fans, living their dreams
