Star Trek: Section 31 |Reaction (Not Star Trek)

This is not Star Trek, no wonder I gave up on the franchise years ago.

Star Trek has always had Section 31 -- sort of a black ops CIA/MI6. It was in the Federation Charter in the Official Star Trek Writers Handbook that I got as a 8th birthday gift (1975--so after the Animated Series but before the movies). So it is part of Cannon and became a big and visible part of the Dominion War arc in Star Trek: Deep Space 9. In Discovery, it played a big part in season 2. This movie centers on the Mirror universe counterpart of Discovery's original captain, Philippa Georgiou--who was the Emperor of the Terran Empire and who at the end of season 1 was deposed and exiled to the Prime universe. In Season 2 she became a major operative for Section 31. In season 3, after the Discovery was flung 900 years in the future, she started to break down at the molecular level due to time & universe displacement. The Guardian of Forever (who you may remember from the TOS episode City on the Edge of Forever), was able to return her to a time when she would be stable. It looks like this movie will tell that 100% cannon (as effed up as that might be) story of Georgiou's return to being a Section 31 operator, and also tell the story of Georgiou's rise to become the leader of the Terran Empire. It is Trek, but it is a very dark branch of Trek--a branch intentionally created by Gene at the start and intentionally hidden from the casual viewer by Gene, intentionally.

*_EXACTLY..._* Ever since J.J. Abrams they've bastardized Star Trek. My once wish before I die is that someone can be put in charge of Star Trek who actually *_KNOWS_* what Star Trek is supposed to be about. There is no way in hell that anything while Kurtzman has been in charge that even closely resembles the Star Trek I grew up with.

I saw stars in there...and it was definitely moving. I call Star Trek! Oh, additionally...Section 31. So this never happened. Star Trek doesn't exist.
