The NCC-1701 at 10 mins was the version for the proposed TV sequel before it morphed into The Motion Picture.

This was an attempt (using the ship names and numbers from the Franz Joseph STAR FLEET TECHNICAL MANUAL) to explain the three distinct looks of the Enterprise in TOS (first pilot, second pilot, production). The idea being that the Bonhomme Richard class was a newly-built Constitution subclass with an improved design, and that the older Constiutions (such as the Enterprise) were subsequently refitted to those specs. So, the Constitution class is the first pilot look, while the Bonhomme Richard design was the production-style refit.

Oh, and the Achernar class represents the Franz Joseph blueprint version of the Constitution. Both these blueprints and the SHIPS OF THE STAR FLEET book tried to sort out all of the constitution variations seen over the years (the three TOS iterations, the Franz Joseph plans, the early PHASE II concept-dubbed “Endeavor class”, the final PHASE II design-dubbed “Constitution II”, the TMP/Richard Taylor model as it was originally built-dubbed “Tikopai class”, etc.)

…oh, and # 10 represents NCC-1701-A, despite the “-A” not being in the artwork. The SHIPS OF THE STAR FLEET book states that an improved Enterprise (refit) class was in development, to be called Levant class, but was renamed Enterprise class after Kirk and crew saved Earth during the whale probe crisis.
