Here's what I would like to see. The crew act more professional. Instead of always making snarky sarcastic remarks and acts of insubordination every time an order is given. And for Captain Pike to act like a Captain thats not afraid to put his crew in their places when need be.

I don't blame the writers for their strike. They took a major bust in income when the standard went from 24+ episodes to 8-10 per season. They get paid by the episode. As far as the actors? EFFEM. Singy and greedy and they hurt a LOT of people who work behind the scenes and support the industry. I am starting to hate actors more and more for their audacity.

these 10 episodes a season I feel is a big downfall for Star Trek. Look at Discovery, its been 4 years and hardly really know the crew. When Tilly left it wasn't as big as when Yar left in Season 1 of TNG. Some minor characters can't even ger enough screen time like Garak, Rom, Nog, etc.
