Considering SNW is supposed to after Discovery and before TOS then the gorn need to be defeated before the klingons become threatening like in TOS. We so far haven’t seen the klingons as threatening since the war in disco so they should be the villain by the end of SNW. The romulans should also be reintroduced at some point to set up their cold war esque status seen in TOS. But the gorn have got to go soon as they were not seen as threatening at all in Arena in TOS.

SNW 3x01, maybe 2, is going to see our beloved Pike suffer the fate of the Beep Chair as prophesized in Discovery Season 2 with the time crystal as well as the warning from his Future Self in Season 1. So many interconnecting cogs. I would personally hold out hope that the Gorn eventually join Starfleet and not get shoehorned into the Klingon Empire like they did in Star Trek Online. According to a friend of mine they had been canonically close to an agreement with one another.

Okay, your grandparents automobile of the 60’s is not your automobile of the 21st century either. It still doesn’t mean they do perform the same obligation which is to “Seek out and Discovery New World and Civilizations”. I am a practicing Engineer of 40 years in 15 different companies working with 13 different product types and 15 different manufacturing environments. How I was able to be highly successful was due to flexibility, open to learn, accepted, change, and grow. I love each environment, with the good and the ugly management experiences. I have learned it’s not the workers that creates toxic work space but the management. I learned from that. All Trekies must or should learn to accept and adapt to every Star Trek series.
