My full respect. As a kid who didn't grow up wealthy I would make my own toys in a similar fashion. I noted the odds and ends you used and avoided expensive scratch-built materials. That is the sign of invention and versatility. A beautiful job for such an underrated Star Wars Vehicle often over-shadowed by the X-Wing and Millennium Falcon. Kudos to you my friend - you did put a smile on my face.

I appreciate that, James 😁🙏 I grew up the same. Couldn't afford the toys I wanteyas a kid and most if the time had to make my own lol. Then as I went along and began to get a little more experience on scraty building,I got into having things,not too many kids could easily have and little by little worked on stuff,on and off 😁

@@felipegomez6729 As a kid one of the "Luxuries" I got for my 10th Birthday was a Kenner Six Million Dollar Man. I made all manner of equipment and vehicles from cereal boxes, straws, bottle tops, containers. I would draw the detail and panel lines on them with black marker and "borrow" Dad's spray cans of undercoat (lol). My friends were always asking me to make them accessories for their G.I Joes (etc). I remember my local Library had a 'Space Week' and of course I was deep into Sci-Fi and built a ship/design scratch built giant ship (2.4 feet long) from a picture on an E.E. Doc Smith book cover. I won first place! Good days. Anyway - I really loved your Snowspeeder. Be well and gidday from AUSTRALIA :)

It has all been said here already, but this is a great video, of a fantastic build and to cap it all, an epic music score. Absolutely out of this world, which fits quite nicely considering the subject matter, interstellar work. I would love to see a build thread on exactly how you put this beauty together, but can I ask the total build time on this labour of love?
@felipegomez67296 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Rob I appreciate it takes approx 140 hrs of work, because 140 ' of pieces are done from scratch.designed, drawn, cut, sanded, fitted,aligned,glued & painted to the 1/6 scale for each model and finally weathered,along with its' corresponding articulation at the Canopy, top & bottom Air-brakes, shocks & Harpoon Gun.aslo the working Harnesses to secure the figures in place and 2AA batteries that light up the monitors & Fiber Optics in the Cockpit all on its' Custom made,wood & Acrylic base. So,yes.each Speeder is quite a project.but, a real "Eye Pleaser" to see it first hand once it's set up & displayed :)

Thank you for your comprehensive reply, you have answered my initial question and so much more. The 140 hours of your time, the precision of your design, building, functionality and detailing shines through with the obvious intention and enthusiasm of a more than accurate build. The idea of lighting everything and running it off batteries rather than plug it in and ruin the effect was also a stroke of genius. I don't know if you have posted this on the RPF, but I can almost guarantee that the guys on this site will really appreciate your excellent efforts. You deserve way more views and likes for this piece of art.
