Hey Mike! For the TBS ARC Trooper Jesse they gave him a range finder on his helmet but he does not have one on the show. The reason people are making an even bigger fuss about it is because Hasbro did the exact same thing with the TVC Jesse last year. So now they’ve gotten Jesse wrong twice.

I feel you on that Vader it just looks off, also to me it's very lazy. They could've shown off an all new black series ROTJ Vader with updated removable mask and a few extras...but no. Anyway, that VC Vader is amazing and I love the cardback, also I'll be getting Piett. I hope 2-1B and Dooku get the VC treatment soon 🤞

It’s not lazy. Its a Con figure which are always variants. Those so-called lazy (which is nonsense) figures are how you get new tooling later on. Variants are an essentially and necessary part of any line.

My theory as to why they gave Jesse that helmet was because they don't have a removable phase II helmet yet. They should've at least delayed revealing it in order to make one. That would've been proper. I wonder when more SCAR troopers will be revealed.

The TVC Vader looks awesome! But really disappointed with all the Retro figures even though I'll get them but would much rather they use that money to make TVC BOBF figures instead of retro figures. We already have Mission Fleet that uses the same money allocated to TVC so with Retro line as well thats totally not needed. They could have spend that money to make a proper TVC Black Kryssantan & other BOBF. The 4pack looks cool really like that!! Also wish they put Starkiller on a cardback with the Force Unleashed logo. What a wasted opportunity. As collectors we would much rather an all new cardback plus the Force Unleashed logo looks so cool. Yeah have to agree with the retro prototype Mando they should of stuck OT figures. Plus I think it's getting abit much now time for a break there smashing them out it's getting to much now it's lost it's appeal.

Great video. Sorry I missed on the Hasbro Pulse livestream. However, I can't wait to get the BS and TVC line. Also, did you know that on January 29 marks the 10th Ann of Black Series. I want that BS Darth Vader Revenge of the Jedi SW Celebration exclusive, but it's in Europe and I can't make it. I only wish it was available online or retail. Great Endor Rebel Trooper w/swappable faces. I like the Darth Vader TVC w/3 part face. Admiral Piett is the figure I want for my collection. He's the best Imperial Officer of the Empire. Great Han Solo. Nice BS Clone Trooper Jesse and Ki-Adi-Mundi. I only wish Ki-Adi-Mundi wasn't a Fan Channel exclusive. I like the Bad Batch Clone Capt. Ballast, but now changed to Howzer. Didn't know that Andor is doing Clone Trooper Phase 2. I want the 212th Clone Trooper 4 pack. I'm glad that Star Killer is getting a comeback. I want that. My missing Expanded Universe(along with Darth Malgus when and if it comes out). I want the Retro prototype Mandalorian, along with Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker, that I failed to get in years past. I like the TVC Pipeline Luke(BoBF) and Obi-Wan vs. Battle Damage Darth Vader. I love the Darth Malgus BS.

Definitely a lot to talk about in this one Mike. For the Black serious figures, I do like the offerings this time, even if I may not buy any of them due to sticking to my OG Star Wars vintage focus. You mentioned that the rebel soldier from Endor was a deluxe? Was that correct? I do like that they give him two face options, that's pretty cool, but he doesn't seem like a deluxe to me. As for the retro line, I'm not surprised they went with Book of Boba Fett, but am surprised about the timing as this one should have been out last year at the latest I would think. There are a couple in that line that I'll probably grab for sure. And as far as the prototype retro line, I also am in the same boat as you and that I have all the previous prototype figures, but honestly the novelty of the prototype has all but worn off by now, and having the Mandalorian as the current offering doesn't really make me excited. Would much rather keep the vintage stuff as you noted. But, being that I'm a completist, I'll likely have to get my hands on old hero Mando. Lol. As for the TVC offerings, I really love the Darth Vader with three-piece helmet. I'll need to get some better looks at the actual face sculpt/head sculpt as to me from a distance it looks more like Hayden Christensen, then Shaw. Hopefully that's just my eyes playing tricks, cuz I would definitely love to get this one especially knowing the core figure it is based on. Very cool. I did like some of the other TVC offerings, but again trying to keep my focus on the OG stuff so I'll probably pass in most of them. There are a few cool items in the pipeline for all the series too, but the one that really stuck out to me is definitely the biker scout helmet. Going to have to find room for that bad boy somewhere cuz it's rad. Thanks as always for bringing us all the latest news along with your perspective. Looking forward to the next one as always Mike.

I’m passing on the Retro FigBacks of TBOBF I think. This is getting really annoying at this point. Interesting on your take on Vader. I’m not a fan of the repaint. WTF lol. I like the box art but Meh. There is NO Captain Rex in ROTJ 40th. He doesn’t exist in the cannon. That’s the whole point of the 40th ROTJ. Anyways the Vader looks amazing and the 40th ROTJ stuff all try and get it all. The Piet is a must. Excited to get these guys. Been waiting for 40 years. Solo looks awesome. Stop Complaining. Lol. Wow Mike, talk about fantastic reveals! The Darth Vader VC, and the Star killer VC from Force Unleashed II look awesome! Definitely want those! As for Jesse's Black Series figure design, I think it looks fine. Only thing I noticed that was wrong was the "fin" on the top of his helmet was not what it looked like in season 7 of The Clone Wars. I know I didn't explain that well so let me try this way. It looked like Hasbro put the "fin" on the phase I clone trooper helmet, on the phase II clone trooper helmet and it shouldn't be like that. Basically the phase I "fin" extends out past the back of the helmet, whereas the phase II helmet doesn't.

It's another re-mold of the Mando retro figure, and no doubt the same as the one coming up in the Boba Fett retro line. More laziness from Hasbro.

Very excited about the new Retro line. I personally prefer when they are different to the Kenner line up because i have the full Kenner line up apart from 2 figures but I will eventually hunt them down. So new a retro style adds to the Kenner line up of old school figures. I wouldn’t mind see the last 17 in a Retro line save people getting ripped off in the market. Luckily i got mine before it all went insane. Also excited about the biker scout helmet and the Ki-Adi-Mund figure.

wow lots going on, Darth Malgus is an interesting one with rumours of a possible Knights Of The Old Republic reboot in the wind. Starkiller is also a great addition again rumours of a show tie-in have being doing the rounds. I always said I'd resist the urge for the helmets, given I am so easily swayed by Jedi mind tricks, the Scout Helmet would be my 4th LOL. Not sure about the red Darth as it just doesn't make any sense I'd be more interested in the Return Of The Jedi one, that looks pretty cool. I expect a rush on Jedi Survivor merch, even though that release has been put back till April.

The nod to the original ROTJ promo posters is nice. The fact you can put the poster on a built-in stand is cool. However, the figure is shit. I can't even imagine where the "devil" shit you mentioned comes from. As lukenessmonter said yesterday it is just an older Vader with a splash of metallic spray paint. Mike have you heard anything about the new sculpt Black Series R2-D2 that’s supposed to *finally* fix the scale issue and other flubs of the most important droid in the galaxy? And of course all future astromechs as I’m sure they’ll re-release all the droids again with the new improved body sculpt and correct scale. He was announced to be - I thought - part of wave 3 of the 40th Return of the Jedi line, but since then I’ve heard absolute zilch about him! Have you heard anything, or a preview pic, etc? I doubt Hasbro will get anywhere near the perfection of the Figuarts R2-D2 which IMO is the best 6” scale astromech ever made, but when Hasbro wants to be amazing they certainly can be, so here’s hoping - I’m just afraid he was cancelled or something as I haven’t heard any news. Thanks for any details if you’ve come across any!

The Black Series stuff was disappointing. They're charging deluxe price for the rebel trooper that's an army builder. The rest is either lazy repaints, late releases way past the anniversary year or made into a deluxe that shouldn't be one. The biker scout helmet is great, but that's it for black series. TVC was mostly solid except for the helmet on Jesse. They have the correct helmet mold yet refuse to use it still.

I liked seeing the vc ones , as for the book of boba fett retro line just like the kenobi retro line just not really into ,to me they should keep the retro line to the original figures the 77-85 line just my opinion

I like it all! I only collect BS and I won’t get them all but I have no reason to not like them all. My favorites are definitely the Rebel Commando and the Biker Scout helmet. Totally up for Ki Adi Munro as well.

I am thinking: how much is the fish? Some nice TVC's. Funny they do PFP on Black Series BUT make BIG sized bubbles for Black Series figures on big cardbacks..I am missing their point on that matter! And most frustrating seeing figures we want so badly in TVC coming in the Retro line. Who cares? Keep Retro for the 96 but not the new figures is my thought. Missed change If you ask me. Funny they want to hear "our" opinion but a live-stream with nothing to comment on (good or bad) is a sign they know what's coming! And agsin a BIG announcement that turned out to be nothing special, typical HasbrNo. Vote with your wallets everyone! They do not want to hear you in their live-stream but they will listen if you not spend your money. They only listen to money. Peace out!

there are times jesse has range finder, made custom, but want fake 322nd cody lol, capt vaughn, hope they do a refresh of cody out of new body, pretty sure they will and with 4 pack comin out sure they will, last time they made a new cody, they had the trooper, then cody, we need rex update badly but cody is pricey fig

The tvc rotj figures are stunning how ever bobf retro is a big disappointment but very predictable the prototype mandalorian as a complete wasted slot it should have been the biker scout as they will have the mold for it and what more can be said about the biker scout helmet that is just a dream item for me.

Darth Malgus and Jesse both look awesome. For the life of me I couldn't see owt wrong with Jesse's helmet. Others may know better. Hoth Rebel Trooper looks like a belter. On another forum somone suggested the face plates may be compatible with the Hoth Trooper. I hope so.🤞 Great neeews Mike.👍

Don't like the look of the red Vader!! Not for me sorry. And the retro collection. In my opinion, and it's only an opinion, the retro collection should be focused on the original trilogy figures. Star War's, Empire and Return of the Jedi, forget about doing retro version's of Mando and the like. My favourites on this video. Death Star 2 Vader, and the admiral piett. Definitely looking forward to getting hold of them for sure. Great video as always. The best version of any kind of Star War's figures news. Thankyou for everything you do for the community 👍👍

That Revenge Of The Jedi Darth Vader looks a bit stupid! The poster is cool, but figure sucks! Then not bringing back a plastic window for the figure is dumb! They turn off the comments on all their fan livestreams now! Supposedly 1-2 people left inappropriate comments towards Hasbro Pulse employees, but I'm thinking more like they couldn't take constructive criticism from fans!

God I hate the retro collection, and the carbonized, and the god damned prototype figures! Black series should also be only a few select exclusive figures to make good mantelpieces. Articulated movie accurate and detailed 3.75” TVC is the world building scale for Star Wars!
