Oh man the Star Wars reacts crew and Jared and Gary in the same week what a joy

I got some speculation here: The new Dark Jedi's names are Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. And if you look at the mural from the end of Rebels there are two big wolves on either side that look very much like the Norse myth wolves Skoll and Hati (they chase the sun and moon). Super interesting that they might share a name and might have been planned somewhat by Filoni? Also Baylan wears black and Shin wears white like each of the wolves and their sabers are orange and the wolves eyes in the mural could be orange as well. Lastly the name Marrok is from the story of king Arthur and he was a Werewolf in that story. Honestly not sure what it means here but more wolves are cool and maybe foreshadowing?

Filoni does love his thematic mysticism. It becomes even more interesting when we consider the Loth Wolves and their abilities towards the end of Rebels. Could it be as simple as thematic naming, or is there more to it? Take me to the Filoni-Zone...my body is ready!

I don't think you need to take the Thrawn communicating to Morgan so literally. The way I see it is that she's getting the Nightsister version of force visions of Thrawn because she's supposed to find him and Thrawn isn't actually communicating with her. I don't think the grey robes will be a continuity error because even the dialogue when she picks up Sabine is different. I think the season will end with the exact version of the white robe scene. I think they're doing this as a comparison for Ahsoka's growth.

I thought these two episodes were great but, was I the only one slightly annoyed at how weirdly stilted the conversations were? No one talks TO each other, they talk AT each other, and I get that these relationships are strained so they're going to be a little less familiarly friendly than they were in Rebels, but it all felt strangely like none of these characters actually know each other, which just landed kinda weird for me. That's a very minor nitpick, though.

I’ve never been able to get into Clone Wars or Rebels but I watched a recap and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was for me to get into Ashoka. Loved the first two episodes

shout out to Diana Lee Inosanto who plays Morgan Elsbeth. She was trained by Bruce Lee and grew up with his kids. Her adopted son is Mike O'Laskey who you might know as Rocky on Power Rangers Zeo and as Colt in Three Ninjas High Noon at Mega Mountain. He also played one of the Tuskens in book of Boba Fett.

I kind of wish Ahsoka was played by someone l haven't seen act so much over the years and could just look at as Ahsoka, like the other new people on the show. This is similar to how l feel about that cat thing and how l wish it sounded more like a weird space cat and not just a cat with a fucked up head, ie just Rosario Dawson wearing a tentacle hat. She's playing it pretty stoic and wise jedi which feels weird for a character that was trained by Darth Vader/Anakin for the years before he turned. She should be an example of what Darth Vader/Anakin as a good guy leader could've looked like. The passionate jedi. Instead she's just kind of got that thousand mile serious stare, but she's got convincing authority at least, and my God she's got the best good guy chin to play Batman one day and the cat's cute.

My big swing theory that won’t happen. Ezra is impersonating the sith inquisitor Marrok. Which will be revealed at the end of the show, the real marrok we’ll find is still with thrawn Galen Marek (star killer) the apprentice of dark Vader with multiple clone copies.

In Dave we trust! I knew this show would be the real deal because Ahsoka is too important, to beloved a character, to mess up a leading show about her. The fact that this is just Rebels Season 5 means this will be premium Star Wars, and I'm here for it. I'm not so sure that final scene was the exact scene from Rebels, but rather a parallel of that scene much later. I was always under the impression that them looking for Ezra is a good way of explaining what they were doing during the rest of Star Wars. I think that search has already happened, has failed, caused a fallout between them, and now has a new lead. Either way I loved this so much and can't wait to see where it leads!

Watching this episode of In Review has shown me something that I didnt even know I wanted: Yall need at least 1 person who isnt a die hard star wars fan on this show for perspective. Cuz right now it just kinda feels like fans fanning out; which is fun. But this show has ALOT of problems when it comes to blocking, setting, acting, and the fact that you 100% need to watch Rebels; which most people have not. And I feel like since you all are just head over heels with Rebels, yall are a bit starry eyed.

The show is awesome, but I fear it won’t catch on as it really wants you to know a lot of this stuff going into it. I had to send my friends a KZbin recap so they knew WTF was going to happen in this show. But as someone invested heavily in all this, I can’t wait. The only problem is that they can’t keep this going for that long since the shitty movies (7-9) timeline would interject. The Heir to the Empire movie this is going to lead into seemingly can only disappoint because of the 7-9 baggage.

I haven't seen the animated shows, I can't stand how horrible the fights are, but I had read and watch clips about both shows, I don't see what is likeable about Sabine, the moment she took the map I was "oh is one of those characters, yeah" and it was clearly she was going to lose it, again setting up a show as a consequence of the protagonist mistakes... yeah
