Something I really liked about that post credits scene was that we rarely ever see the Death Star from that kind of angle. It's always turned with the dish a bit to either side to capture the depth of the emitter, so seeing it like this with all the parts extending up the center was a very nice shot.

This ending, for me, has made this series the absolute best yet for Star Wars. This is the very beginning of the rebellion, and it has "tied up" the entire genre. It has set the foundation for the entire story, and I suppose it was appropriate for a story that began in the middle :) And the Syril/Deidra subplot? A story of True Love with two of the "dispicable" category? The evil torturer who unexpectedly finds devoted love?? This is master class storytelling.

Appreciate the way they build the death star like the jedi build lightsabers. With the peices being floated perfectly into place. Shows that every weapon in the SW universe is a weapon of mass destruction. Also fitting since the laser uses kyber crystals.

That kind of view, of assembly parts poised to be placed, is referred to commonly as an "exploded view" , when you were talking about the cinematography of that post credits scene, and showed the furniture assembly instruction graphics, the proper term occurred to me and I threw my head back and horse laughed.

Galen Erso never designed the exhaust port. He designed a flaw in the Khyber crystal powered energy generator and asked Jyn to find the Death Star plans so they could find some flaw in the construction to allow a missile to penetrate to the core, thus activating the flaw he built into the core

The Exhaust Port was NOT the weakness Galen Erso told Jyn about. He even says as much. The weakness was a flaw in the *reactor.* His message was telling the Rebels to hit the reactor, not *how* to hit it. That's why the Rebels needed the Death Star plans, to figure out the best way to blow up the reactor. They decided to try one of the six thermal exhaust ports near the top. And here's the important part: getting a proton torpedo down the shaft was an impossible shot for any regular pilot to make. It was not a foregone conclusion that any of those Y-Wings or X-Wings could do it. Luke only made the shot because he used the Force. It boggles the mind that fans still feel the exhaust port was a flaw. It wasn't, and the narrative in both Star Wars and Rogue One was always very clear on that point.

The more i thing about how great andor is, the more i remember how bad the forece awakens was. Why did they set everything backk to zero. All battles fought meant nothing. Here is the empire part two - we call it first order. Rebels are rebels again but we call it resistance now. Han and chewy are smugglers again and luke is alone on a planet somewhere. Such a lazy story.

I lost interest in Star Wars after clone wars and stuff, but when they started doing these series like mando I was like ok this kinda nice, and then andor came out I’m like oh snap this is like the best Star Wars series out there. It didn’t look that convincing in the trailers but when the episodes developed, it was fire. This last one def got me waiting for the next season. Hopefully we see like a jedi or an older character.
