I have made a couple of tutorials, but the way I learned is by doing any tutorials that I thought had a good end result, I didn’t do any Star Wars tutorials, from that you build up all the skills you need to do anything you want, I’ve been doing it for 2.5 yrs now, I’ve still got many things to learn, but I’m competent enough to do many things without help

I just did any tutorial that had a nice end result, once u do enough tutorials you’ll start doing processes naturally and without help, then you’ll be able to create things on ur own, it does take a while, and some good dedication, but make sure to have fun, and remember what u have learned from tutorials

@@palpatinesforehead hey, im a but late but I did it... (Used a tutorial lol) u use a noise texture that is streched on a cylinder and give it color using a coloramp (in blender)... Then you just rotate the noise in texture space and twist it around using separate xyz.... You get really close results to the real thing....

Hey HobbitVFX how were you able to control the s-foils (wings that fold up) on an ARC-170 and Jedi Starfighter for example?

I think I separated the individual s foils and then rotated them from a pivot point at the centre of the ship

I think having some of the Star Destroyer out of frame really helps. If not possible for the shot then have something smaller in the foreground that we would know the size of, it helps accentuate how much bigger the Star Destroyer is in comparison

Much appreciated. The lens flares were done in After Effects using Optical Flares plug in. Hyperspace was done using a preset we had created. We have a video of how to do it called ‘Free Hyperspace Shader’

Yeah the run to jump animation is a smooth transition but for some reason the jump to run transition spins the character 360 degrees causing the glitch

Hi, most of the planets are made by myself, and then most of them are rendered separately and them imported as an image plane to make the animation render faster

@@HobbitVFX damn, i was playing around with the venator, and it was extremely laggy in cycles viewport for me. Is that normal? I have an AMD ryzen 9 CPU (i render on it) and only 16 GB of ram.

It takes a good while for me to load the textures (1k version) but after that I can move around it in rendered view fairly smooth, I have a rtx 2070 tho, I imagine it’ll be laggy if ur only using a cpu
