God.... Watching Obi Wan show for the first time really brought back the memories of the brotherhood those two shared. Watching Anakin turn in the clone wars and the Revenge of the Sith is so heartbreaking because you're rooting for the guy. He just misunderstood things, was manipulated and lied to.... Luke sees the good in his father, and watching the return of the Jedi you keep saying, "Luke, wtf are you doing? Thats Darth Vader! Hes not good!" But that makes it so heart warming and impactful because Luke 'knows', maybe through the force, or something else but he knows theirs still good in him. Obi Wan becomes racked with guilt for what he believes is his failure as a mentor to Anakin, he becomes an old washed up version of the General Kenobi we know and respect in the Clone Wars. Hate, anger, resentment, and jealousy are poisons that eat away at us, and turn us into something we're not. Forgiveness redeems us and allows us to be who we truly are. The story arcs of all of these characters is fantastic and true to why they're loved by millions of people because we see ourselves in all of these characters, and we've all been given a choice in a moment in life to show mercy and forgiveness, or to embrace and join the dark side
