I'd sneak a bowl of chocolate chips down to my basement (where I played bf1) every day and hopped on. I have one specific memory of playing the first DLC and looking over to see a massive stinkbug in my chocolate chips. Needless to say I never ate chocolate chips down there again. Man, I remember Sullust being so hard on the higher difficulties because you just had to hide from the AT-STs until you could kill them. Survival was super fun to play with my brothers, though.

I literally started playing it hours ago 😂😂😂 I bought Battlefront 2 on launch, played it a bit an enjoyed a lot, however I bought Battlefront 1 months later, but only now I decided to play it. Just did some training missions until now, but loved it!! Graphics and sound are still very very good, gameplay is smooth af 🙂 I'm very happy with it.

Maybe it’s just me but I liked Bf1 way more than bf2. And I literally grew up with bf1. In my opinion it was waaay more fun to play as a simple trooper because you had more possibilities to customise him. In Bf 2 playing as a trooper bores me really fast and I need to quickly get some „ special unit“ , which isn’t special at all because literally everyone has one. And if you try to walk over the map as a normal trooper you actually only have a small chance to accomplish anything as you just get killed in almost every 1v1 against a reinforcement. That wasn’t the case in the first game. Man I miss this Game so much.

Idk why no one ever even mentions it anywhere, but the reason people still love and play this game is because, whether intentionally or not, dice created a competitive shooter game. It’s definitely lacking in the actual star wars department, although if you’re mainly a fan of the OT it will suffice, but the game’s movement is like no other. The roll jumping mechanic offers a unique and satisfying skill gap, and the gunplay is often competitive and rewarding for people who put time into the game. The competitive scenes are still alive and well on all 3 platforms, where a variety of competitive events have been taking place this whole time. People like myself who still play the game do so because we love the movement and gunplay. It quenches our competitive cravings, while simultaneously providing a nostalgic, authentic Star Wars feel that we all love.

Oh, same. Battlefront 2015 was one of my favorite games back then, and I put so many hours into it. I loved the cycler rifle in particular. I got to the point where I could turn a corner, pull out my cycler and head shot someone halfway across the map without zooming. Ah, those were good endless days of fun :)

Still love and play this game. I might be in the minority here, but I loved the simplicity of its gameplay and the lack of predefined classes. The freedom and flexibility to use whatever weapons and abilities is amazing. BF2 just has too much going on and gets far too chaotic. Not to mention Walker Assault, Extraction and Sabotage are the best modes hands down.

I genuinely miss this game and the memories that surround it so much. I was in high school, and would play it with my friends most days of the week. One of these friends passed away a few years ago, and another moved away after college and plays on pc now days. Now it’s just me and one other guy and we’re both pretty busy so we rarely see one another. I cherish those times on Battlefront because it brought us all so close together and filled us with so much joy and laughter. I’d give so much to relive one of those carefree days and to talk to my friend one last time. Friendship just isn’t the same anymore, and I crave friendship like I had in those days again so much. I’ll miss those days for the rest of my life

I'm still so pissed off that Dice never added in any options to play the DLC maps offline, I still want to be able to access this content after the servers die. I'd have loved to have been able to do Skirmish and offline Fighter Squadron on Bespin, the Outer Rim and Skarff. Some kind of offline Battlestation mode would've been ace too.

@@Nizaar1 yea EA did well listening to the fans, I don’t know what it is, just battlefront 1 had a much better feel to it I think. Yea it was missing a lot looking back, but I was hooked on it haha. Battlefront 2 now seems full of toxic players, and you get put into matches with people who have their hero’s ( in hero’s vs villains ) maxed out and they’re ridiculously hard to defeat. It’s a shame EA has just gave up on it now.

I loved the sniper duals in this game. Taking pot shots at each other, holding down half the enemy team because no one wanted to step outside and gee hear shot. The game did well with keeping up the intensity, never giving you a moment to rest before the enemy was right on your heels.

BF's Bespin was fantanstic! Why BFII only gave us the Cloud City portion for Blast and HvV is beyond me. The one good thing about the token system is you didn't have one or more people on your team sitting in the spawn menu, waiting for a hero to open up, thus handicapping your team.

The hero pickup remark you made. Wow. Absolutely perfect. There was an adrenaline rush that was so much fun, and I just realized that is what it felt like then. That to me is what BF2 is missing. There is not a lot of intensity or rush in that game which is what I miss. Plus the maps were just special, Cargo was much fun, and the DLC's were incredible. What a time it was during the brief years of Battlefront. Side note: For BF3, I feel a combination of the best sides of both games would make a perfect Battlefront 3.

I still love the 2017 game, but it will never immerse me like the original. Recently saw an older interview of Dennis Brännvall where he talked about porting 2015 content over to the new games and how it would only be slightly less effort than creating new stuff and thats why they did not want to put the old maps into the new game. With this they completely missed the mark. Fans were asking for the old maps because so many ppl liked the maps in the first game but not so much in the 2nd game and it would have been an easy content boost to bring those in, especially since the gamepass split the playerbase into fractions, on pc you basically only had around a year or even less time to really play the game regularly because not many players were left to play these maps with, and the second game had everyone that was left switch over to the 2nd game...

I play both still, i play a lot of deathstar and i prefer the ships in bf1 by the way! they're much faster because of the cooldown token, its the biggest f up they did with starfighter assualt, no cooldown card! so you cant use continuous speed boost, so you spend a lot of your time being a sitting duck, which sucks! Also the lock on in bf1 makes 1v1's way more interesting, it comes down to skill and timing to who comes out on top, not what ship youre in, which is lame. The lock on made for more moves in the ships. Bf'2 starfighter just looks nice but the game play is lacking.. by the way this is coming from one of the best players on starfighter assualt

Wow, I couldn’t believe it’s been SIX YEARS since Star Wars Battlefront (2015) came out, either. I remember getting the season pass when the DLCs started to roll around, I played countless hours and hours of Star Wars Battlefront when it first came out. But, when the DLCs roll around, I played the Death Star DLC and the Rogue One: Scarif DLC a LOT when those DLC packs came out. Because one, I LOVE space battles, they are the heart of Star Wars, the Death Star battle was recreated when the DLC came out, and the Scarif DLC was released alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You forgot about the Red 5 X-Wing and Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced One as playable hero and villain vehicles with their wingmen.

It's like a strange repeat of the old star wars battlefront 1 and 2 where battlefront 1 had the better maps but battlefront 2 had the better game play which is why I would always switch between the two

I think the game thrived best in the blast mode. maps felt like arenas that threw the players right into the action with each other. some of my favorite multiplayer moments where in that mode.

This was my main game i have played almost everyday since i got it, u pointed out the token system and the advantage of remembering the hero token spawns, well i still remember some, walker assaults had 2 possible spawns on each of the 3 phases so 6 in total and remembering the spawns and camping them was just abusive but fun This game has something that battlefront 2 doesnt, it just draws me more than the sequel but theres just no one playing it anymore and finding a lobby takes like a hour

For anyone who is wondering about matchmaking, ON PC basically the only way "that I" have been able to find matches is to play from 2pm to 6pm EST. time, ON EUROPEAN servers. I have yet to find a full match in NA, I like walker assault the best, I wish bf2 had it. There is also a battlefront 2015 pc discord that might help. ON XBOX and probably PLAYSTATION The game is still very alive, I pretty much can always find a game of walker assault with 2-3 minutes. Also both battlefronts are on game pass if you already didn't know.

It was way more fun to play with the infantry indeed. It's not just you. It just is. It's the movement and weapons. All weapons feel literally the same in battlefront 2. When I say that I mean shared class weapons. Here every pistol felt completely different. Every gun had different recoils, power, damage, and if you got proficient with a weapon it showed. For example Boba's EE3 can burst shoot very quickly if you time clicks precisely. (like the burst fire m4 in battlefield) I know people raged how quickly I used to kill them. The moment I spot them, they're dead. At moments I felt like a hero as infantry. I sometimes used to chase people, it was an adrenaline rush. Which is a crossover feeling from the battlefield franchise, there we call those rambo moments. All infantry are equal, it's down to skill. Which is not present in Bf2 at all. You have a heavy who has more health than a sniper, equality gone. Plus enforcers like wookies with enormous health pools. I raged on wookies so much... They nerfed them to hell, yet they're still a menace. Heroes were a lot harder to master in BF2015 and had a lot less health, so a good player could actually defeat a hero 1v1 if a hero wasn't a good player. If a player mastered heroes, they were fierce. 1v1 a hero is near to impossible in Battlefront 2. Simply the health pool and regen are enough to not be able to 1v1 any hero. Also the maps were amazing actually, not just good. The careful layout and planning was astounding. They were a lot more fun than the bland battlefornt 2 maps. The game lacked content, a lot of content, but was still generally more fun overall to me than 2. I played 600+ hours of each, and that's just how I feel. I would still play bf 2015 sometimes, but there are literally no lobbies in my area to play. I wait for a long time then end up alone in an empty server. Sad nobody still plays it.

The map design, weapons and general feel of battle is extremely good and polished in this game. The heroes are basic but tactical, you need to plan your path and playstyle depending on the situation, instead of just hit and run and sometimes deal with some super annoying things. For example you don't lose half of your health against a very good roller, or due to your ability decides not to work for two seconds. Overall I think SWBF1 is a more complete and better-feeling game than SWBF2.

I think bf1 was way better for gameplay , you can only do so much by adding new content like bf2 did, when the game, in my opinion is flawed from a gameplay standpoint.

I still play. It is super fun. SWBF2 was not even close. The skill as a trooper between combat/momentum roll and jet pack is so fun.

This game is on sale for 4 bucks now lol . I missed this game . Used to play with friends and one my friends who loved this game passed away and this game means a lot to me cause of that. Extraction was one of my favs

I’m on Xbox and can still find lobbies in cargo and WA. It’s just they’re mostly full of sweaty bacta shield jump pack players to the point you see no variety in star cards. Shame it’s this way but it’s still fun and playable from time to time
