I don't even really understand why EA chose to ditch some of the more BASIC elements of Battlefront (and modern shooters) that are on display here, i.e. dropped enemy weapon pick-ups, using the inferior vehicular combat system found in BF 2016 instead of matching what was used in previous games or even their OWN franchises like Battlefield 1 for Pete's sake! It looks good, plays fairly smooth, sounds great, but that's it. A bare-bones product-release to coincide with the movie release schedule I'm sure. And I cringe to mention the LOSS of the oh-so-smooth surface-to-air-to-space transition element...

No, not all of it. You can tell he's only voicing certain lines, and Master Ferroda's (and X1)'s lines are between the voice actor and a Free Radical Employee. I would guess that they were starting to get their voice overs around this time period, but because of the issues with LucasArts I don't know if that impeded the progress? I'm not sure if Morrison would've gone to LA or FRD to record his lines?

That's interesting to know. What that seems to heavily imply is that this is literally just shy of alpha stage, as sound is usually one of the last things to be done prior to going into alpha/beta. It lends more credence to FR's side of the story of the game being nearly completed when the plug was pulled.

I've always believed Free Radical were telling something closer to the truth. By no means are they guilt-free, but they're definitely not completely at fault. Hey Jioyt; Since this video has gone up a lot of stuff has happened behind the scenes. A lot of assets and pictures have been leaked publicly, but sadly there aren't any builds in that mix. Until I can find someone else with more footage or a build, I'm afraid this will be it for now. Saying that, have found a couple of cool things here and there that I've wanted to upload but I haven't gotten permission; nothing nearly as big as this however.

Hey FuZah, you know the new "Mega dump" BF3 video that came out a few weeks ago? How was that footage obtained, I thought the only build of the game that was even obtainable was the one you're playing, the R-27 or whatever its called alpha leak?

The megadump came from a collection of assets obtained from different ex-developers. I'm also not playing this build; it was actually pre-recorded at Free Radical. Don't worry, nothing in that collection is from a build out in the wild. It's all stuff from within FRD's long-since-closed doors.

My hearth hurts every time i see new vid from this game. Damnit EA killed battlefront, this game they gave us is so boring to play, it has incredible graphics, awesome animations and levels, but NO CLONE WARS, shitty character progression, shitty interface, and no story at all. Damnit, battlefrontf 3 looks like a dream game for every star wars fan, so many interesting things, story mode with cutscenes, characters, situations. Damnit, and instead of this we got... i cant even tell if this is a game or a benchmark. DICE just made battlefield with star wars models. Nothing new, nothing fresh, just nothing.
