I’m not a “hater” but you have to admit the unlikeliness of it happening. They stopped supporting the game quietly and haven’t vocalized any interest in making a sequel. You could have Gideon with a default pistol weapon, with one ability slot being able to switch to the dark saber and another ability slot able to switch to a more long range rifle type weapon. Then with Mando default pistol, one ability slot switches to the beaker spear, and another ability slot switches to his incineration rifle. To make sure either is not OP, the dark saber/beskar spear would be able to only block mele attacks, not blaster fire. Those would be awesome heroes to play with!

Dude that'll be cool but there would be balancing issues where there is like a timeout and reduced damage on his abilities or even his weapons. We don't want a prince's leah's blaster balancing fiasco on new characters. EA need to (and I doubt they will hear this) take community feedback from battlefront 1&2 and make the heroes balanced compared to each other, while being stronger than the average trooper.

Honestly, I could care less about a campaign. I just want to be able to play all the game modes be able to be played solo and offline. Galactic conquest is a MUST. Either the same or better than that of the original battlefront 2. The 501st journals was pretty neat but it didn't really give to much of a story. However, it gave us a really cool look into the mind of a clone trooper through the final days of the republic into the age of the empire. Also not to mention the clone rebellion on kamino. Another cool thing would be if they would just remake elite squadron (psp game) and release it on modern consoles. Maybe update maps to be better but that game was awesome with complete customization of characters, ground to space, and a cool story. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

I’d love it if they’d just release a FULL game with no micro transactions and no bloody paid DLC. To make it worth the price (£50/£60 I imagine) we should really be expecting a full campaign of at least 10 hours, and as much if not more content than the last game this time with gameplay as good if not better than a game that was released nearly 20 years ago. Proper space battles where you can infiltrate the enemy ship like in the original, and I know this won’t happen but I’d have it be first person only to get rid of the unfair advantage. Also bigger maps that offer a more tactical and strategic gameplay. There’s me thinking back to when online multiplayer games were worth playing. Ssssssssalt.

I'm gonna say that I hate EA for what they stand for, and I pray that EA DOESN'T make a battlefront 3, because in my eyes, battlefront 3 was already right around the corner when it was snuffed out of existence by EA's greedy hands. I used to think that too. All evidence points to EA abandoning SW because their methodology is counter to the fandom - fandom is willing to be patient for a long haul investment while EA wants to crank out a game in a year or less. So many SW games were scrapped because they couldn't meet the 1 year deadline. The SW license is therefore a money pit to EA when they invest time, money, and effort. BF3 is a bad investment in EA's eyes, plus they've lost consumer confidence in holding the SW license and they know it. My proof: 1) Battlefront 2015 marked the end of the subscription era with the blowback from fandom not purchasing as anticipated. 2) BF2015 dropped the subscription and sales went up. This proved the business model was obsolete but there was an appetite for mmo SW shooters. 3) Since subscription was a bust and the consumer appetite was there, go a little over the 1 year deadline to insert a massive micro transaction system into the sequel since that model is in demand. This will recover costs from BF2015 missed earnings as well as BF2 going over budget. After a year or two, the game will start making profit. 4) Micro transaction model goes bust and sales are no where near where they should be. This confirms to EA they lost money on BF2015, they are going to lose money on BF2, and they are in damage control until they can get BF2 to a state where they can cut all financial ties without damaging their reputation across other franchises. 5) EA releases a smaller SW mmo with more emphasis on single player (Squadrons), expecting a bust. Sales go way over projections but not enough to cover the losses from the BF franchise. 6) EA releases a single player (only) to test the market and again, sales are higher than projected - higher than Squadrons. Sequel in the works.

i personally feel like it would be really stupid for EA to not make a bf3, like look at the success rate of bf2 even if it had a rough launch it still brought in the money. Plus with all the demand for it, it just makes sense that it would be coming or at least in the works

If ea does make a bf3, it will definitely be one of the biggest contributors to an upcoming star wars Golden age. We've got a ton of DP shows coming up, and the star wars gaming license going out, that's what I think is going to happen.

I just want a modern Battlefront game with a single player Galactic Conquest mode. Similar to how they did in the original Battlefront games of the early 2000s. Guess that's too much to ask for though.
