Unlike the stale console version I play, The PC version actually shows a lot of potential due to its active modding community. Their are many possibilities for gameplay , maps, Reinforcements and heroes. Albeit ones that reuse animations in a unique way. The lack of Lucasfilm approvals also helps. Chances are if Dice had more freedom in the creative process, we could have seen some content far sooner rather than not at all, such as the broken promise of more female heroes. Still bugs me to this day. If their is a Battlefront 3 in the future, I hope the broken promises of BF2 can be fulfilled, Or at the very least can have Ahsoka as a launch hero.

I love seeing how the fans make better content than the developers themselves and seeing the creativity people put into this stuff. I especially love the "non multiplayer safe" mods like the clone wars overhaul and how the characters have their own new abilities and weapons. Other than characters, some make their own new game modes, like Instant Action Overhaul, where you can play HVV against the computer, something I had always wanted to do as I get called "Trash" whenever I play against real people... I just love seeing what the modding community can do and hope it keeps growing more and more!

Ive said this before I really like the skins / heroes we got (e.g. For Rey and Maul) but all I wanted after scarif was 6 months later, while Mandalorian season 2 was airing add Mando content, then over periods of many months, add clone wars, then rebels, then resistance content (and maybe bad batch and other Star Wars shows releasing)

Here are some of my ideas for units for battlefront 3 if it ever comes out. Galactic Empire: 1. Royal Guard •it’s weapon is a dual vibrostaff •it’s first special move makes you take out a stun pike and stun your enemy for 3 or 5 seconds •it’s second special move makes you do a spinning attack like Maul’s •it’s third special move makes you switch your weapon to a blaster for a period of time 2. Purge Trooper •it’s weapon is a electrostaff but can be changed to an electrohammer or dual electrobatons in the unit select screen •it’s first special move makes you throw a grenade but idk which type it should be •it’s second special move makes you do an attack with your weapon but it’s different depending which weapon you chose •it’s third special move makes you take a blaster for a period of time like the royal guard does 3. Inquisitor •it’s weapon is the inquisitor lightsaber •it’s first special move makes you force push your enemy •it’s second special move makes you do the helicopter flying thing that the inquisitors do sometimes in Rebels •it’s third special move makes your lightsaber spin which can hurt enemies and block a lot blaster bolts without reducing your stamina 4. Dark trooper •the weapon is an e-11 blaster rifle •it’s melee attack makes you punch your enemy •it’s first special move makes you shoot out small missiles •it’s second special move makes you fly with your rocket feet •it’s third special move makes you use your rockets on your feet and ram into your enemy First order: 1. Elite praetorian guard •its weapon is the vibrostaff they use in the movie but can be changed like the purge trooper •it’s first special move let’s you choke your opponent with the weapon you have which reduced their health gradually •it’s second special move is according to which weapon you have. If you have the staff you can do a spinning move like the royal guard, if you have a whip you can pull your enemy towards you and do a devastating like what happened to Rey and then after that you do a devastating slash on them. If you have that one small weapon that can split apart you will split apart your weapon into two daggers and you can do very swift moves that doesn’t cost you much of your stamina for a period of time. 2. Knight of Ren •like the purge trooper and the praetorian guard you can change the weapon •it’s first special move makes you throw out a grenade but idk which one •it’s second special move let’s you do an attack according to which weapon you have •it’s third special move let’s you take out a blaster for a short period of time 3. Riot trooper •it’s weapon is an electro baton •it’s first special move let’s you throw out a basic grenade •it’s second special move let’s you do a devastating blow to your opponent •it’s third special move let’s you stun your opponent for 3 seconds 4. Sovereign Protector •it’s weapon is a blaster rifle •melee attack let’s you hit your enemy with your rifle •it’s first special move let’s you throw out a grenade but idk which •it’s second special move let’s you scan the area for enemies •it’s third special move let’s you overcharge your rifle Separatists: 1. B2-HA Super Battle Droid •it’s weapon is a cannon on its right arm •it’s default attack makes you charge up your right arm then shoot out a weak missile •it’s first special move let’s you shoot out a homing missile •it’s second special move let’s you shoot out a powerful missile •it’s third special move is an AOE attack that makes you shoot out one of those things that can disable blasters and tanks for a short period of time 2. LR-57 •weapons are blasters on both hands •it can dig into the ground •it can overcharge it’s weapon 3.magnaguard •it’s weapon is electrostaff •it can scan the area •it can do a spinning move •it can spin it’s weapon like the inquisitor but can the block that much bullets like the inquisitor can 4. Sniper Droideka •it’s weapon is sniper on its head •it can curl up and roll Galactic republic: 1. Shadow trooper •it’s weapon is a blaster rifle •it’s melee attack is kicking and punching like the Sith trooper •it can scan the area •it can throw a grenade but idk which •it can change into the enemy like the spy from tf2 and when it shoots at the enemy it will change back to normal 2. Clone commander •it’s weapon is dual blaster pistols •it’s melee attack is kicking •it’s first special move is throwing a grenade but idk which •it’s second is pulling down its antenna and zooming •it’s third is boosting your allies strength •it’s fourth is boosting your allies health but it is better than the officers 3. Jedi Knight •it’s weapon is a lightsaber •it’s can force push •it can throw it’s lightsaber •it can do a cool lightsaber move that deals a good amount of damage 4. ARC Heavy Gunner •it’s weapon is a quad blaster •it has no melee attack •it can overcharge it’s blaster •it’s can scan the area Rebellion: (Ok the rebellion was hard because it doesn’t have that much special forces so I’ll do my best) 1. Mandalorian •it’s weapon is dual blaster pistols •it’s melee attack is kicking •it can shoot out a missile from it’s jetpack •it can wrap a wire around its enemy which stunts them for 3 or 5 seconds •it can fly using its jet pack •it can scan the area 2. Tusken raider •it’s weapon is the sniper that tusken raiders use •it’s first special move let’s you take out your gaffi stick and attack the enemy with it •it’s second special move makes you do the tusken raider scream which boosts you and your allies strength 3. Bounty hunter •it’s weapon is dual blaster pistols •it’s melee attack makes you swing your arms at the enemy •it can do a cool attack with its pistols but idk which one maybe like landos move •honestly idk what other special moves it can do you go figure it out 4: Jedi Knight •it’s literally the same Jedi Knight from the galactic republic The resistance: Okay I’m losing ideas maybe it can add 4 new alien units or something Heroes: 1. For heroes there is a long list. Example get mandalorians on both sides, make maul Deathwatch loyalist and you can put protectorates on the republic side. Give them tools like flame throwers,eletric wrist whip,personal energy shield an bring in Vibroblades. Would love to see the increase of Ai's on the maps like in old bf's. Even add in other military factions, we know that there are the regs that fought with the clones. Night warriors being brought in for the seps. The possibility is so huge.

What the game really needed was the ability to host private matches. A lot of SWBF2 (2005) clans and communities fell apart when both next gen battlefronts didn't come with a private match feature. Unpopular idea EA should allow dice to make a final update which allows people to get into ‘modded’ servers, where you can play against others who want to play with modded characters. But obviously the models have to be a certain height and polygons so it doesn’t kill your PC

This reminds me of the Jedi Knight games early in the millennium (I know, those aren't BF games). I used to murder fools in those games with lightsabers. I loved the emotes, like spinning your lightsaber as it hovers above your palm. Combat was a blast, and I'd love to have a modern update of those games' multiplayer.

Doing a Pure Clone Wars game, with say... DLC for the others, making a game pretty much StarCraft 2 in three eras, can not only be sold as such, but hot-damn would it allow for SO MUCH MORE content! Remember: StarCraft 2 was MASSIVE, Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, and Legacy of The Void, not to mention the extra stuff! If EA/Disney were to commission such a similar game, we could ALL be satisfied, and not only would EA be able to sell three games as one title, and get away with it, but it would also be viable. Bringing back all of the stuff from OG Battlefront, including Conquer/Invasion mode, where you stroll around the Verse, taking worlds and systems, fighting in both ground and space combats in Offensive and Defensive runs. THAT alone made OG Battlefront 2 WORTH playing, not even the story mode! But hey, a re-cap of each era would be awesome. There's a decade worth of content in the Clone Wars, 20 years of content in for the Rebels vs Empire era, annnnnd if we're being honest, give us the YUUZHAN VONG and GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN ERA! Course... no EA rep nor dev is going to be reading this... but it's good to get it off my chest as an idea.

The most dissapointing thing was that they dont have Dengar, Greedo, Nien Numb from battlefront one. Those guys were pretty fun. I think Grand Moff Tarkin would actually be an interesting idea for a hero, give him an ability where he can call in an orbital strike like in BF1.

What I don't get is what this is supposed to do for a multiplayer game wherein much of the customization happens in-client. Unless we can all agree on a single, unified compilation of mods, host servers and rebuild the client to facilitate that build, we're just not going to be able to play with them.

there are so many great maps missing. Like Mygeeto, Mustafar, Corrusant and Utapau... Custom Lobbies and the heroes would be awesome aswell I would even want clone wars on tattoine etc. Its not film accurate but at least some freshness to the game

i played many many mods... but after all they are just cosmetics and dont make the core gameplay much more fun :/ we still dont have a proper squad or spawnscreen mechanic, the conquest mode is still no real conquest mode, there are still no sidearms or ammo or medic system, no tacticle component, no real squad/teamplay, no multi-player-vehicles, no aerial forces in Conquest... its just a largescale deathmatch but without the fun part that made BF2 2005 so amazing.

EA needs to make Battlefront 3 where you start with 4 generic players and have to grind to unlock 100+ other characters. And then 6 months later, random make them for sale for $4/character. Then during the next Star Wars Celebration, give most of them away for free. Also random loot boxes. It would be really cool if they went through the more popular character and made some slight coloration differences and gave that character away randomly. Then after a few months, put it up for sell and then never have it again. Ya know, its the little things EA that makes people question their sanity. Just doing my part...

If battlefront 3 ever happens, they better add more clone wars content. Like, maybe do an ultimate battlefront were they flesh out all the eras. It would take a lot of work, and they’d have to model lots of characters, but it would be worth it.

I don't even see a reason why they would have to make a battle from 3 at this point . They could constantly upgrade battlefront 2 and release new characters new maps and new modes through DLC indefinitely perindefinitely. Games like World of Warcraft are Proof that you can keep a game going for 20 plus years With new editions.
