This was the first Star Wars Battlefront game I ever played, before I even knew what the Battlefront series was about. I absolutely loved it the first time around, partly because I didn't know better and was young, but mainly because the story was brilliant. Though there is an instant action mode, the campaign is obviously the big highlight of this game.

I remember in like 2010 I went as X-2 for halloween, i was obsessed with that game as a 10 yr old, just had a blue popup lightsaber bought the stormtrooper costume without the helmet, it had the orange pad and plastic armor, and did the 2 blue lines on my face, good fucking memories even if I was the only one who knew what it was

I love all Star Wars Battlefront games but this one reminds me Jedi Power Battles with unlocked characters (PSX) mixed with Shadows of the Empire (N64). Maybe it contains a little bit taste of Jedi Academy (XBOX) (especially scene at 5:59) and Flight of the Falcon (GBA). Anyway it's cool.

Ive played both and the ds focuses on the story and goes deeper into. Psp version is about gameplay but the story isnt as good.

No shit. That's because Elite Squadron is Battlefront 3, or what's left of it at least. It was made by Free Radical. After Battlefront 3 was cancelled, it was ported off to the DS and PSP and became Elite Squadron.

+LlamaSteve 1st it's X1 you need to beat and 2nd try the explosives with the heavy, shoot him until he gets raged up and is blocking, throw your lightsaber and keep him off you with the R force attack

+Elly NoCare If you replay the campaign you technically can keep all the classes you've unlocked (including Jedi) but you can't really use force push until you become a Jedi in the story again, which is near the very end so it's only for a short time.

My friend told me I shouldn't get this game for my ps vita. He said it wasn't that good. I knew he didn't have a vita so I asked him, 'How would you know?' He said he has it for the ds. I told him that the ds is probably different from the vita, but I ended up getting renegade squadron. My god is this different from the psp/ps vita one.

It looks better. has different perspectives, more sound, less annoying minigames and more proper gameplay. It's a lot better than Renegade Squadron, but has the same feel(Just like BF2, and BF1).

Controlling ships on a 2D plane, the top-down camera, the graphics, the variety in levels, the different classes having different abilities, an easy game with avoiding gunfire being simple, the Star Wars title, the game itself being inferior to other versions on other consoles, the sort of gameplay in general...

no thats to dificult on the ds, especially taking in count that is made on the cod ds engine, an engine that only works well for fps's, 007 blood stone is a good example

sorry, i love battlefront for the ps2, but this game is a total downgrade. the graphics are terrible and the gameplay is just not the same. this game is like a free android mock of star wars, i just could not get into this game at all.

This is the DS version of the game. I have the PSP version of the game and trust me, the game is amazing on the PSP. You should check out the PSP version and if you have a PSP it's a must have.
