I hope these people in attendance can appreciate how rare it is to have John Williams conduct an Orchestra and play these wonderful themes..live and in person!! Enjoy his brilliance while we can folks...
@katurah332 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100%. I might add that I hope with all these movies and shows by George Lucas coming up he'd already have John Williams working on more themes because after all he is 90 years old and who knows how much longer he'll be around in spite of a recent clear colonoscopy.

I was there!!! Without a doubt, I know how fortunate I was to be there in the presence of greatness! On my way home, I met a violinist who is in this orchestra. She said they had a different conductor for rehearsals, but once John Williams was conducting, the music came alive! I have NO DOUBT! I was in tears the entire performance. When John Williams said, “this next one is not Star Wars, but I think you will recognize it,” I KNEW it was Indy! And I cried even more! Then we got to see Harrison Ford! Best experience OF MY LIFE!

John Williams was the soundtrack of my childhood. To this day music fills me with JOY! I will always remember the day that my beloved piano teacher handed me a copy-recorded tape of the Star Wars soundtrack. I listened to over and over and over in my bedroom and it opened a window to a musical world I had never imagined. Music shapes children’s lives, may we never forget it. God save the king! Happy Birthday John Williams. 🎂

John Williams performed LIVE at Star Wars Celebration for hundreds of enthusiastic fans the first ever public debut of the Obi-Wan theme, the Indiana Jones theme which led to HARRISON FORD coming onstage to compliment him and talk about Indiana Jones 5, and arguably the most iconic piece of Star Wars music in existence to close things out with a resounding bang. I loathe KK (as every Star Wars fan should) but her intro of Mr. Williams brought me to tears. He's not gonna be around much longer, this may be his final Star Wars project. What a national treasure. I was fortunate to see him conduct the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in a night of movie music, about 3/4 of which was his. I can play any score he's done and enjoy sitting and listening to it. Other classical type music I listen to: none.
