Star Wars: Darth Plagueis - The Quest for Immortality.

For people crying about Plagueis original voice, due to people warning of copyright issues I cannot use the audiobook voicelines. Also the new voice of Plagueis is doing the best work trying to replicate the audiobook voice. Please understand, he's doing his best, and he is worthy the title of Plagueis voice and givw him respect. Also, Plagueis has some new dialogue that needed recording.

While I love the audiobook voice for Plagueis. I really love this new one as well. The audiobook makes me think of someone like Dooku. But this one sounds like an unnerving alien Sith.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why the team that creates the audiobooks hasn’t hired Daniel Davis to perform another Star Wars audiobook. I wish he would perform another audiobook, even if it wasn’t Star Wars. I would listen to it!

@@wesrm1 same Daniel davis did an amazing job as Plageuis in the novelization audiobook. Surprising he was not asked to do more voice work for other Star Wars books considering how much positive feedback he received for his work

Isn’t James Luceno’s dialogue brilliant?! He imbued the character of Hego Damask with intelligence that’s riveting to listen to. The droid 11-4D is adept in his service and has many wonderful lines in the book, funny ones at times too but sparingly so you appreciate it.

I stand by my belief that the Plagueis novel is the single, greatest piece of literature in the SW universe. The audio book is perfection. Plagueis and Matthew Stover's Revenge of the Sith are masterpieces.

You could say that. The only difference is that Vitiate/Tenebrae is a Sorcerer, and Plagueis is more of a Scientist. Vitiate/Tenebrae seemed more leaning into the esoteric, amulets and the use of rituals (much like the Old Sith), whereas Plagueis believed the secret of immortality laid in science. Hence, his bioengineering experiments using captured subjects (one of them being his Master's other apprentice, Venamis) combined with his midi-chlorian manipulation ability. And then there's Darth Scabrous, who, in an attempt to create an immortality potion, he accidentally created a Zombie virus.

With the scientific aptitude of the Bith and the sorcery of the Sith, Tenebrous was willing to sacrifice his own power of foresight in order to possess his student Darth Plagueis, all so that he could be able to bend the Chosen One prophesy to his advantage. Unfortunately, the Bith equivalent of a mad scientist found himself experiencing the death of his student by the hands of a "shadow" through possessing Plagueis's foresight, and his attempt to escape that sensation he has instead damned himself to reliving his own demise.
