Another one I want to see is Palpatine recruiting Dooku. How did Dooku react when he discovered the senator from Naboo was a Sith Lord? How did Palpatine gain Dooku's loyalty? Your work is spectacular!!
@Lord_Draco_III7 күн бұрын
I mean, we pretty much know all the details. In several meetings that was entirely calculated by Sidious, he was able to discern Dooku's view of the Republic and the Jedi, seeing that he was disillusioned with the state of both organizations. In their last meeting, Sidious promised Dooku not only great power, but that if he joined him then the two of them could reform the galaxy together. Dooku didn't understand at first as while he knew Senator Palpatine was powerful, he couldn't possibly promise anything on that much of a grand scale. That was when Sidious revealed himself as the Dark Lord of the Sith, and promised to make Dooku his apprentice. Seeing this as an opportunity to make a real difference in the galaxy and to use the power and knowledge of the Sith, he agreed. Dooku's loyalty to Sidious remained for as long as Dooku's desire for galactic reform outweighed his selfishness... and that didn't last very long, as that is simply the nature of the Dark Side: it corrupts absolutely and indiscriminately. Dooku had good intentions for joining Sidious and using the power of the Dark Side, but his motivations shifted the more powerful he became and saw just how much he could accomplish. At that point, Dooku was no different than all the Sith Lords who had come before him: a selfish and greedy apprentice who craved the power his master held, which he would try to obtain by plotting against him by using loyalty as a veil to hide his intentions.

I keep saying it with vid after vid - the AI is just improving. Not just the visuals but also the quality of the voices. I never ever believed I'd ever see a young Palpatine & find him somewhat handsome, which also adds to his villainous nature as Darth Sidious. Especially when we are so used to see him as anything but handsome. And I must say that his voice has evolved tremendously in the right direction. I've had slight issues with the voice for Palpatine/Sidious in your previous vids - still very good but not quite hitting it - but here & now it finally sounds like Ian McDiarmid himself! Witnessing how the AI just keeps learning & improving like this - & considering how often you spoil us with new vids - it's almost scary the rate in how this is going. But above all, I couldn't be happier or more grateful for your work, regardless if you follow actual parts of existing novels such as this or total what-if scenarios & everything in between. Considering your overall positive reactions to your work this channel is just another proof that the fandom are still hungry for SW but REAL SW &, apparently, only the fandom itself can give itself what it wants & needs. And, from here on, will do so with ever growing quality & passion which Disney SW could never imagine, even less catch up to at this point.

Palpatine wasn't much of a follower of rule of the two. He had Maul and Dooku as apprentices at the same time
@thewarner21397 күн бұрын
Not in canon. Palps strictly adhered to the rule because he didn't want anyone threatening his power. Dooku was in league with him to form the separatists, but he was not formally made into his apprentice until after Maul was presumed deceased during the Battle of Naboo. Even after Maul returned, both he and Palpatine openly stated that Maul was no longer a Sith Lord.

The only things here I can see that could be improved upon is making it more...realistically paced. I don't know. For me, Plagueis seemed to drone on for a bit too long. Pauses for breath, pauses for empahasis, and pauses for thought would help greatly here. Also, it is something I found too among this channel is that most of these conversations can be summed up a lot more simpily? In screen writing it is a common thing that is kinda 'droned' into you. Often times for me it helps create good lines and analogies.

Plaguies is such a good master. A better one than Sidious arguably.
@punishedvenomsnake7167 күн бұрын
No doubt. Plagueis truly cared about Palpatine and would have elevated him to a partner in the Sith Order and conferred immortality on both of them and a select cadre of elite aides. Palpatine never cared about any of his Apprentices and not only did he not care and view them as tools, he was a total sadist who enjoyed causing them torment. Plagueis is a much, much better master in an academic and a personal sense.
@rahulrajaram68917 күн бұрын
@ the thing is, Plaguies understood that cold indifference is more effective than sadism. Things like torture and mind games are effective in small doses, but let the fire of the Dark Side burn too hot and it will consume you
@punishedvenomsnake7167 күн бұрын
@@rahulrajaram6891 I feel like it's a difference in personality that fundamentally separates them. In the sense that their personalities formed the basis for their teaching styles rather than the other way around. Plagueis was ruthless but he never went out of his way to torture and cause pain like Palpatine did, for the kicks. Palpatine discusses his creation of Vader in the Book of the Sith were he says outright that he took great pleasure in turning Anakin from a nice kid to the most infamous Jedi killer. Plagueis was never like that and he had many chances to engage in sadism and cruelty as both Darth Plagueis and in his public guise as Hego Damask and he never did. A far better master and if I had to be trained by a Sith, Plagueis would be that one.
@rahulrajaram68917 күн бұрын
@@punishedvenomsnake716 Plagueis considers himself an architect of the future. He doesn't care about petty cruelties, but he isn't above them either. Sidious enjoys manipulation and mind games. Plagueis is the darkness that shapes you. Palpatine is the force that breaks you.
@punishedvenomsnake7167 күн бұрын
@@rahulrajaram6891 Yeah, he definitely was ruthless but never a sadist or a psychopath like Palpatine. Palpatine will break you only for his amusement while Plagueis would only do so with the goal of creating a new person from the ashes, a new being. This is what he did with Palpatine, pushing him to the brink of death but only for the purpose of honoring the Rule of Two before its planned obsolescence and sharpening the Sith overall. Palpatine will put you through the brutality of Sith training with none of the benefits of becoming strong in a physical sense, learning new skills, or imparting lessons, and he'll do so just to relish in your suffering.
