Regarding the slope bug, another way around that is to use the Mac version on an emulator like SheepShaver. From what I've seen, that bug is only present when playing the Windows version on modern machines (definitely wasn't a thing on PCs of the time), but the Mac build apparently works fine via emulation.

11:28 traumatized me for a while, I still have dreams where I'm being chased by an assassin droid! You made some great humor our of one of my favorite games ever!

A far better game than I envisioned when I first heard the title. With all the education additions it absolutely has to be available far and wide.

Wow, another game I never heard of. :)

Oh My God. I forgot about this game entirely. It was unhinged. Thank you for the upload alone.

1 This was awesome. :D 2 I think I'd actually want to play this and read all the physics related stuff. :) Voted, thanks for the showcase. :)

Man I played this game a lot when I was a kid. I actually did learn a lot from this game reading that stuff at the age of 10 lol Now I'm 33, unemployed and on the verge of taking a bath with my emotional support toaster.

@@seizuresalad91 I know you're probably joking around but don't drop a toaster in the bath. As long as you can still breathe, you can make a difference. Hang in there man.

10:30: Yeah, Phrikk is a fantasy-material from Star Wars. Lightsaber resistant even, so it's essentially a veeeeeerrrry powerful material...🙄😂
@BenKii4 ай бұрын
I was familiar with the other fantasy Star Wars material, Beskar from the Mandalorian. Funny how we pull out a brand new material out of nowhere to combat the over powered lightsabers. 🤨

@@BenKiiWell, Phrikk's been around since Dark Forces from '95. That game came out in '98. But as far as I'm aware, the first modern canon mention with actual identification with naming of proerties is in the Tarkin novel from 2014 and then again in the novelisation of Star Wars Ep3 from 2015.

@@BenKii Yeah, there's a couple of those in SW. Phrik is probably the least lightsaber resistant one, but the most common. Popular for droids, such as this game's assassin droids, along with Dark Troopers and MagnaGuard's electro-staves. Usually, it's used by droids because its density, which gives it the lightsaber resistance, also renders it absurdly heavy. It's basically Space Tungsten on steroids. Beskar needs no introduction. Cortosis can be alloyed or pure. Alloyed cortosis makes other metals about as lightsaber resistant as Beskar without changing their properties. Pure cortosis is brittle, but will outright short out a lightsaber it touches. There's also ultrachrome, a highly heat conducive metal popular before starship energy shields were invented. They spread the heat all through the entire piece of metal, blocking lightsabers or blasters up until the entire amount of metal reaches melting point.
