I starts out a simple adventure story for a young farmboy who just wants a more exciting life. Then it goes into the past where space Jesus is supposed to save one group of space wizards from another, but then joins the other side and becomes space Damien. Then it goes into the future to basically just start over again.

FYI: There are Star Wars books. They are referenced as "Star Wars Cannon". There are also Star Wars comic books. Which many of those cover the after 1st trilogy and/or basis of the cartoon version. George Lucas did NOT plan on the Pre-quels. He did want it to start with #4 as they are based on some old movies in the 40's and 50's. He sold it and Disney came up with the Pre-quel series instead of making sequels.

Wow so disney had had ownership of the franchise since the prequels? Did george lucas have any say or input in the prequels, i know they are somewhat unpopular but i personally enjoy them

@@JJ-el6qx he sold Star Wars to Disney before the pre-quels. He did have some input but not alot. The last trilogy about the same thing.

actually 4,5 and 6 got released first, because george lucas didn't the the technology was advanced enough for the action scenes and special effects he had already thought of for the "first three" movies

Unpopular opinion: I love the sequel trilogy. Well, not so much The Last Jedi... but the other two are great!

The Last Jedi is the only one that brought anything new and creative to the whole thing in my opinion. Sequences of it were poor, like the meaningless casino stuff, but visually its the best of the three, and the whole relationship between Rey and Kylo in it was the most interesting part of the whole trilogy. The Force Awakens was ok but basically a complete rehash of A New Hope, and The Rise of Skywalker felt like it was written by redditors, with the return of Palpatine being the lamest thing in the entire trilogy.

As a stand alone movie, I do really like The Last Jedi, it just feels a bit off with the rest of the series. Like I love Rose and Snoke’s throne room scene is beautiful. The thing that felt the weirdest though was the humor... it was just really different and how everyone talked too. I totally understand and respect your opinion, though I honestly don’t mind the kind of rehashing-ness of The Force Awakens or the way Rise of Skywalker played out. To me it’s just a new take on the Star Wars Universe for a new generation, as much as it is a movie for adults it’s for kids too. Like I grew up with the prequel trilogy and that’s what made me a fan.

@@vantreese73 Thats a really fair opinion! I agree I think the biggest failure of the three is the lack of cohesiveness. They needed to do some proper planning, or stick with one director for the whole thing. I would have loved to see Rian given the reigns to make something all on his own personally.
