Funny story. I was pressure washing my driveway. Noticed something gold and shiny in the mud puddle had made. I reached down and pulled up THE RING!!! Seriously! Had the Elfin language engraved in it. Panicked for a second and looked for Giant Eagles. Cause I am using them to get to the mountain and NOT walking... Turns out my neighbor's teenage son had lost the ring prior to me moving into the house... So no magic powers and I don't rule the world...

Beeeeynn I have to correct it- they wanted to leave Bag End up, but they couldn't initially because they didn't build it to he sustainable. So the town nearby did have some merch/tourist things. It has a Gollum statue. However, after the other trilogy that shall not be named, they rebuilt the set in a way that it could remain.

I love ya, Ben but you overlook the main theme… maybe he only saw the movies? It’s about friendship, and you missed the important fact that Sam is the true hero of the entire story. And you didn’t explain how Sméagol turned into Gollum because of his obsession with the ring… explaining the the ring’s power. I understand why Cristine isn’t interested after that synopsis.
