@@legate4608 Irrelevant, he has been putting out trash since clone wars. I know people loved that show and I grew up with it but there is a lot of bad stuff in there. The recent Ashoka show is Dave Filoni unchained and it was terrible to watch. A man so obsessed with his OC, fan bait and rewriting already written stories just because he doesn't like following rules. He is simply bad at his job.

Legends: Tells about life in the Star Wars Galaxy after VI and the New Jedi Order alongside the Yuzan Vong War with the cannon deaths of the Original Trilogy characters. Sequel Trilogy: Resistance is literally a paramilitary that doesn’t belong to the New Republic in every battle has terrible strategy leading to heavy casualties. First Order is literally what if the Galactic Empire has advanced tech but garbage leadership. And Palpatine still alive.

aint no way you compare a few movies and series. together with books and comics that have that have inconsistecies with the tv shows and movies to a franchise with hundreds of games and books not to mention thousands of comics. did it have inconsistensis? yes, but it was farr more big and expansive. in canon there is like 60 years in the timeline, in ledegdns there is thousands of years that are well documented. From recent star wars media disney seems to be learning as they made the E-wing canon and appear in the ahsoka series and we may even get a New republic vs Thrawn's empire conflict again but that remains to be seen. Andor, rebels, rogue one and the madalorian (not season 3) were also quite good in my opinion.

Kanan is literally a copy of Rahm Kota, Ahsoka fights Vader reverse-wielding two Lightsabers like Starkiller, and the logo of the Rebellion is not the Marek family logo anymore. I loved the separatists. They were always my favorite. They all just had an upper class feel in everything they did. The way they styled their ships, their style confederated political feeling. Usually the really wealthy have large armies. The political party class with their blue against the republic’s red. And then the crown jewel being Count Dooku (Ser Christopher Lee) and the republic was the perfect rival too.

I hate Disney for making Star Wars just the story of those sixty years of the movies, I’m sick of seeing endless clone wars flashbacks, of all this “empire rising” shit, of perpetual spin-offs of spin-offs of spin-offs. I know they made the high Republic but even they forgot about it! All Disney Star Wars can be categorised into “clone wars”, “empire rising “, “civil war”, “new Republic rising” and “ot ripoff”, while the EU is thousands of years worth of stories into the past AND into the future, hundreads of unique settings, a place where every author has a blank canvas in front of them.

The Eu was constantly adding little critters of nieche things in the universe,a random planet in the outer rim would have really extensive lore.That one background extra you see in Empire strikes back having a heroic story behind him.The ships you see having thier weakness and strengths.The galactic powers from the Infinite empire to the New republic all being competant yet having thier own reasons to fall (all of which made sense).My point is the EU actually felt like a GALAXY unlike the current canon which only focuses on the Bad Batch, Ahsoka, Din, Vader, Anakin and other cheap nostaligia baited cameos.

Delta Squad was replaced by the bad batch,. Delta Squad had a lot of stories, Sev, order 66, imperial commandoes, hunting Jedi etc. while in canon all those stories don't exist anymore. I never implied that the bad batch were bad characters but they seem inferior compared to delta squad.

Delta Squad shows up in ONE SCENE in TCW. They functionally are not canon as they've not been used in any meaningful way. Scorch showing up in Bad Batch could've been literally any Commando given he only has the armour and none of the character. Bad Batch is a sad copy and repetition of the same story Filoni always tells since TCW: young special character taken in by an adoptive family/parent figure and fighting the Empire in a fairly light upbeat cartoony romp through the galaxy. All we ever get now are EU stories and concepts stripped of all depth and character, then repackaged as something new. Andor is the exception that proves the rule.

@@LordVader1094 I don't think the similarities in concept are really that big of a deal. Although the sound similar Omega is a different character from Ahsoka and The Batch seems to have more similarities with the A team than with Delta Squad or anything. The focus of the show also seems to be different from both TCW and the Delta Squad, while both TCW and the Dealta Squad focuses on the clone wars, either through it's effects in general or how it affects the lives of the characters, the Bad Batch is more centered on the early Dark Times, so it has more in common with Dark Horse's Star Wars: Dark Times with the main difference being that one is about how to adapt to the new environment while the other centers more on surviving it.
