10:30 Is it possible "mitichlorians" are microtubules?
@Elistarielle8 жыл бұрын
They were based (loosely) on mitochondria. I read an article once and I can't remember if at the time it was known how mtDNA is inherited or not. Knowing how mtDNA is inherited (through the mother) would mean mtDNA are not the same as midi-Chlorians. (Evolved or mutated form of them... maybe). If they were the same then Anakin would have gotten his from Shmi not his Force-daddy. (Which would have made for a much shorter movie...)

The only question is... Do I go for being a Jedi... Or a sith... With how my life is going right now I'm probably going to end up being a sith

What is strange is that there are people on Earth with bizarre "psychic" abilities - from predicting future events, sensing or even seeing spirits to people reading other people's auras and can pinpoint what certain type of event happened to them (psychic mediums). Ha, It really makes you wonder :)

I really loved how so many people were up for fighting back. On a different note I thought you were going to take this video in a different direction. In particular if we are open to the idea of a infinite universe then anything that is physically possible is happening somewhere. A funny thing about infinity is that no matter how small the probability if that probability is multiplied by an infinite number of examples the thing still happens an infinite number of times. Therefore, if Star Wars is at all possible it is happening somewhere. Likewise since the farther you go out into space the farther back in time you go. So not only is it far, far away but also a long time ago. Still I like what you did with it. ^_^
@Jabrils9 жыл бұрын
+YouCanScienceIt man, those are great additions, haha bear with me here, but if we open up the idea of infinite universes, I added your additions into the script somewhere hahaha. But in all seriousness, those would of been some fun additions to explore, maybe in a future video? Thanks for stopping by YCSI - Jabril
Since not all material melted poured out, nor did it produce a stream of gasses I can only conclude the lightsaber is some kind of teleportation device...

What divinity in the Star Wars legend? What is God for them?
@doombybbr8 жыл бұрын
I have a reason that has little do with the viability of the technology but rather with the results, say that most plasma blade wielders have insane reflexes due to cybernetic implants, if someone were to use a plasma blaster it wouldn't work(not only that but plasma blasters by their very nature have to shoot slow moving projectiles to maximize damage as it deals damage via the heat and not the kinetic impact) - as such stormtroopers would not generally carry blasters but instead lightsabers due to their superiority, only useing blasters for extreme range or even building a blaster into the lightsaber. Tl;Dr star wars is implausible because in war people gravitate towards the superior weaponry, and no-one would be cought dead useing a blaster in that universe
@Jabrils8 жыл бұрын
+doombybbr well to be fair, Lightsabers required extreme skill & are hard to master. I image its like a sword vs a gun, one takes talent, other anyone you use, but in the context that you provided, its not the same comparison because swords aren't superior to guns; Interesting food for thought doom - Jabril
@doombybbr8 жыл бұрын
SEFD Science actually it isn't sword vs a gun, more like sword vs oversized arrow, plasma weaponry is limited by the fact that it has to maintain contact to deal damage(as such it has to move slower than kinetic weaponry and as such it is WAY easier to dodge and block than a gun, it however is more effective vs high tech armour as that armour was made to stop kinetic weapons) Also cybernetic implants would enable people to have the reflexes to use plasma blades effectively. Do not compare plasma guns to kinetic guns, their bullets would never move at the same speed.
@Jabrils8 жыл бұрын
doombybbr you've made great points my friend, I must say that I agree with your analysis. - Jabril
@doombybbr8 жыл бұрын
SEFD Science Of course if you had the energy you would go with a plasma stream weapon instead of a blade(the blade would probably have a form of insulation around the outside to prevent it from burning the user or spreading too far out and becoming unwieldy, as such a beam weapon would be more useful on long distance and weapons that can swich between blade, blaster and stream modes would be preferred)
@lucidmoses8 жыл бұрын
Hey man. Nice episode. But I would point out that we no longer use "Earth Seconds". Yes, seconds used to be based on a portion of a day but that's no longer the case. So as far as we know. a second would be the same almost everywhere in the universe.
@Jabrils8 жыл бұрын
+Lucid Moses very interesting, thanks for the insight, I need to read up on this - Jabril
@lucidmoses8 жыл бұрын
SEFD Science Yea, that Einstein dude through a big wrench in the idea of local time being universal. I'm fuzzy on the detail but it's got something to do with a particulate atom at a particular temperature vibrating a particulate number of times. This way time is handled properly in your frame of reference. I also hear that they are wanting to change it to use light as the source information. Anyway. because the Earth isn't as constant as people would like, this all this led to "The Leap Second". Which of course leads to the best side affect of all this..... I can sleep in a bit longer every now and again. :p
