To prove this theory, the whole "long time ago in a galaxy far-far away" comes from the Chronicles of the Whill, as they told the story of the rebellion in the future. So, the movies do not take place in our past, it's the past of the Whills.

My theory is that it actually took place way in the future. The a long time ago in a galaxy far far away is said from a more advanced race(the whilis). They are documenting what happened and it's being told after the events took place. A band of humans, probably exiled or refugees flew on a sleeper ship before landing on coruscant.

I kind of like that idea if it weren't for the fact Star Wars technology is extremely different from even modern technology. Look at how awful their computers are and the lack of security cameras anywhere. There doesn't seem to be an internet, really, either. They have a different path of technological development in canon, too.

@Thelondonbadger no doesnt matter. Everything in star wars is super bulky and low tech. Totally opposite of what our future tech would look like
@websterri6 жыл бұрын
@Thelondonbadger well if you had any clue what you were talking about, but no. That is not the same thing at all. Plus I dont think you have seen the inside of modern planes/helicopters. As I'm a pilot and an engineer I can tell you that cars are not bulkier and planes are not flown with those switches. Those switches you see are not the controls, they are backup systems and breakers in case of electrical failure. They are what are used to start the powerplant etc. I dont think people understand the amount of systems that are all running at once while a plane is flying. All of that is mostly in the main monitors it is amazingly high tech.
@websterri6 жыл бұрын
@Thelondonbadger ...... no that's not it at all. How can I simplify this. Cars are barely bigger then the model t. Yet the engine is 15X more powerful and incredibly efficient by comparison. The reason its bigger has nothing to do with technology and everything to do with market conditions. Guess what? Cars are not motorized carriages anymore. They have an inside that can sit 4 or 6 or 8 on not a wooden bench. What you are failing to understand is, well many things.
@websterri6 жыл бұрын
@Thelondonbadger You really dont get it do you? Server farms and radio bunkers have a very very thin copper sheet in the foundation that provides protection from everything, it's called a faraday cage. You couldnt fry anything with magnetic fields. Ships would have a hull, even the smallest ships would have at least that much shielding, and not for the electrical systems, for the humans! Replacing parts is normal for any system that has nothing to do with anything. You are so held up on SW when our space tech would be NOTHING like that at all!

If you look around on the wiki s. That is how the near humans came to be. Pantorans for example. Maybe twileks too. But some species such as the Duros and the neimodians have their own evolutionary backgrounds. They went to other planets before hyperdrives in sleeper ships that took thousands of years to reach their destination. (Shorter or longer). When they got here they changed over time. The humans did spread throughout the galaxy like modern day races but more pronounced and different due to the separation for so long.

That seems way more likely if starwars is in another galaxy in the distant past. A corellian sleeper ship on it's way to a colony destination gets sucked into a wormhole and arrives at Mars 15000 years ago and establishes colony but mars is dying so they jump over to Earth 1000bc just after the end of the Ice Age & the Great Flood. Set up what becomes known as Atlantis. Disperse outposts around world to mine resources. Find small groups of native-born hominids and carry out genetic engineering and use them as labourers and some of them take up bedding the natives. They have blue eyes and introduce that mutation into genetic pool. Denisovan, Neanderthal etc genes combine to make a new composite strain arise ...us. Now that's a story.

@@kuriousitykat We as a species originate most definitely from this planet. We can trace our first ancestors millions of years back to a time when we were nothing more than an ape. Now, you might be saying that they were only the Neanderthal's ancestors, but then I'd have to refresh your memory by saying that sub-saharan Africans do not have Neanderthal DNA, yet they still share these same ancient ancestors with the rest of us. If mankind was indeed created, then we were most likely engineered hundreds of millions years ago, as we cannot find anything we can't explain from our DNA. But to say we are purely the product of our ancestors would be a bit dishonest, since bacteria has played an enormous role in our development. If I were to believe we were intentionally created or our evolution was forced, I'd put my bet on an engineered bacteria causing us to evolve and allowing us to become the apex of this Planet. On a side-note it's worth mentioning how immoral it would be to force primitive animals develop consciousness and then just leave them alone to try and make sense of their surroundings while being relentlessly hunted by their hostile environment. P.S. If you want a damn scary story, entertain the idea that we came to exist without a proper reason or goal. Perhaps evolution is nothing more than a radio frequency in the Universe causing life to evolve for reasons we do not, or want not, to understand. P.P.S. Every (non-Albino) person who has blue eyes have the same ancestor. This is irrelevant, but I find it quite interesting, especially since I have blue eyes.

One idea I've heard is that Star Wars humans aren't actually humans. They just look a lot like humans. We haven't seen anything resembling a lower primate in Far Far Away (strange name for a galaxy) so it's possible that these "humans" aren't even primates. At one point George Lucas considered Star Wars, Willow, Howard The Duck, Indiana Jones, American Grafitti and maybe THX-1138 to be in the same universe if not the same galaxy or epoch and hired a writer to bridge the gaps but the project was not completed. This could mean the idea was abandoned by Lucas though. Of course when Capt. Panaka talked about sitting ducks nobody else knew what a duck was.

I remember hearing that one of the old Lucas scripts had Tattoine being the original human home world before it was Glassed by the Rakata, due to mostly successful rebellion/ escape. the Corasont, Alderan and Correllians were rakatan slaves from tattoine, most homonid were adaptaions to new worlds ie chiss, zabrack and zeltron are humans. twi lek, nikto, wookie (broken terraformers out of control on surface) are not human descendants - co evolutions.

Like imagine if Epsiode 9 ended with Rey vanishing like Luke only to appear to land on a Planet and as the camera Zooms out, you see the distinct shape of Italy and the continent of Africa to end in the blue end credits. Or in a more ridiculous approach, crash landing in what appears to be Naboo but as the camera pans it's actually Washington DC and the FBI shortly arriving surrounding her.

I think Humans ended up in the Star Wars galaxy when a federation star ship had a drive malfunction near a wormhole that transported it to ancient Coruscant where the shipwrecked survivors formed a civilization. The federation ship was fleeing from an Imperial assault force that was taking over the federation after discovering it. The Enterprise did not last long against a Star Destroyer.

What about a mix of the two Theories? The Rakata's found a spacial anomaly that lead to earth in a different time and galaxy, they figured out the spacial anomaly was safe to go through but was only stable for a limited time. The Rakatas sent a scavenging/explorer vessel and found ancient humans, seeing we were a strong willed race, they kidnapped several thousands from all across the world for better diversity and strengths, and enslaved them. The rest is history, this would explain the diverse human groups in the SW Universe.

What if Earth is in the same galaxy, just in one of the unexplored regions - wild space for example. Since Earth is in the end of one of the spiral arms of the Milky Way, it’s entirely possible! Another thing could be wormholes that took future travellers back in time to the Star Wars galaxy. Why can we not use or feel the force? Because the force could be limited. Only residing inside the beings in proximity to the galactic core and staying inside those people, meaning we are unaffected. Why can they travel faster than light if it’s physically impossible? That’s hard to answer, but the force could be something from another universe.. a universe linked to our own by the black hole in the middle of the galaxy; a wormhole. Of course it still has to follow our own rules, but that doesn’t mean it can’t bend them a little bit, allowing said people to travel faster than light and giving them powers unlike any other. Overall the Star Wars universe could exist either outside our own or within our very reaches. How we know about it is up to George Lucas, maybe he heard the story from someone else who lived in that universe or maybe George is from there, visiting our universe to tell us his tales. Well if that’s true, then how did Disney come up with the last three movies? Well that’s the thing, they didn’t. George Lucas told the people at Disney that if they ever wanted to make another set of movies they knew who to ask. ‘How could George have lived so long, the timeline of Star Wars is huge!’ Well George Lucas may just be that very thing that allows the other-worldly properties pf the force to work. He may just be the force itself. Since his powers can’t stretch too far from the entrance to his universe (the black hole) he has to use a form that the universe would recognise and wouldn’t cause alarm to humans, so why not be a human? They’re the same species as in his universe so why not share the story in ours?
@jnichols34 жыл бұрын
At one time, Lucas had toyed with the idea of a movie that would cannonize Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and E.T. as existing in the same universe. It is not cannon, but there is nothing that precludes it either. At least I think so, because I have never actually seen E.T.

@@partydean17 Escape trajectory could be possible. It would depend whereabouts in the galaxy you start off; be more likely if you started in the outer rim or spiral arm. A variety of things could cause sufficient gravitational change for something to break away from its original orbit and potentially leave its solar system of origin and venture in to or out of its parent galaxy. The recent Oumuamua asteroid that passed close to us is thought to have been just passing through our solar system. Unable to say if it started off in the Milky Way or if it ventured here from another galaxy. More likely the former, given the immense amount of time it would take for an asteroid to travel between two galaxies. Though it could be a remnant, an object expelled from a far earlier galaxy 10's of billions of years ago; roaming the vast nothingness of extra-galactic space until it crossed paths with us. Would have been really interesting to physically study it, its chemical/elemental make-up, any organic properties. There once was a solar system with 12 colonies filled with humans. One day a brilliant scientist lost his bitchy preppy daughter who had joined a cult of religious extremists when her boyfriend detonated a suicide vest on the train they were taking to the spaceport but prior to that she had left her computer experiment where should uploaded her consciousness still running. The brilliant scientist father turned out to be a sham and decide to steal his daughters work and called his own and as a result was able to build a race of robots called cylons. Some unknown shit happened, presumably they became self-aware or whatever, they got pissed at their creators and tried to wipe them all abruptly they signed a peace treaty and fled deep space only to come back 20 years later nuke the entire system and make the survivors flea across the galaxy looking for a new home all the while being chased down by clones who had put synthetic human cylons embedded in their fleet, some of them being pretty hot with one even looking like Xena warrior Princess. More crazy convoluted shit later the humans and clone make peace and land on a plan for your name earth and start boning each other and the native humans on the planet. A few generations after this the robot cylons came back and took a bunch of humans with them into space where they fell into a wormhole and popped into another galaxy far far away. This time the humans made sure that the robots couldn't to become self-aware. They land on the planet that would later become Known as Tattoine, started eating the food and found out they could do crazy shit with their minds. After a while they found that there is indeed intelligent life in this galaxy and of course in typical human fashion some weirdos had a thing for aliens and started boning the aliens and that's why the Star Wars galaxy has robots, humans and near humans.

Maybe the war got so intense in the future that the force became sentient and tried to save life cause you know, even the dark side needs someone to bitch to. The task of saving life was so taxing that the force snuff itself out of existence. The result, humans and some other alien species got scattered across different galaxies, maybe even different timelines, and evolved in new exotic ways.

It makes you wonder what that galaxy would be like (if it were real) in our current day. Would it be finally brought to balance and peace? Or would it be completely destroyed, or possibly even anarchistic and disjointed in an era without any empires or republics? EDIT: I didn't even think about the THX connection. I just read about that, that Lucas wanted to connect all his films, so the "earth controlled by computers" theory is less cliche-feeling now.

Or perhaps we were born on Coruscant then, later, the now canonical Yuzhan Vong come with technology that can traverse galaxies, and humans travel here. However, their ship explodes and they are forced to crash land and so get thrown back to the stone age. Then they traveled back in time just like the second theory says. At some point in this constant recycling of time, the Builders notice there are humans here to and are a brute fact unto themselves. They travel to the Star Wars universe to try and kill all the humans, after which we get a Star Wars version of the Avengers to stop them.

"Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away..." does not refer to a perspective from our current timeline. It is written from a viewpoint in the distant future and as stated by others, relayed to the Whill species from R2D2's records. Most probable is that humans had found themselves capable of interstellar and FTL travel and had travelled from their real homeworld of Earth to other star systems, if not another galaxy in search of a planet hospitable to them. After initially settling on one of the planets (perhaps Coruscant), they may have continued to settle among other star systems where their presences may have been viewed differently by other alien species and depending on whom, would have been enslaved or so. Perhaps even these humans may have given the tech themselves to other species if it wasn't other species at first. Eventually after thousands or millions of years, Earth was forgotten as a world of origin and laid to waste if it was never revisited again.
