I remember the day George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney. One video is vivid in my mind. It was a creator obsessed with Star Wars and he showed all the books where the story was supposed to continue from the end of Episode 6. And he continually said Disney was garbage and they will destroy this franchise and they will not keep to the story that was already written... people made fun of him in the comments and said that Disney was too rich of a company to not put out good content regardless if it was made by Disney. They were too rich and powerful to fail. How right he was from Day 1. He got the last laugh, but witnessed his favorite franchise crumble into dust. Nobody won that battle.

Ive been saying the same thing ever since I found out they are throwing out the entire EU, closed down Lucasarts games, and made SWTOR also non-canon, a still running (albeit on fumes) Star Wars MMO. Paramount tried to avoid bringing the old characters back with _Star Trek Picard_ for two seasons and everyone hated it. For season 3 we got Picard, Riker, Data, Troi, Worf, La Forge, and Crusher all back together and it was lovely. The last season wasn't a masterpiece or anything but we got to see our favorites together again for one last time. Sometimes giving fans what they want is the way to go.

A lot of the original actors have since passed. We have lost the great actors of Leia, Kenobi (1977), R2-D2 (1977-2002), Chewbacca, Boba Fett (1980-1983) and Count Dooku. There may be more but these are some of the main characters. Its getting even sadder to bear as all the original, still survivng actors are all in their later stages of life all nearing their 80's. I honestly had no idea Christopher Lee (Count Dooku) passed and it was crazy because I always loved the prequels even as a kid. They never even once mentioned the passing of the actors either not even in the credits. Disney does not care about the legacy they are ruining. What was once an American icon and a symbol of Hollywood's creativity is now lost to time.

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but as a Star Trek fan I got to see Picard, Riker, Troi, Data, Worf, La Forge, and Crusher all together on the Enterprise-D one last time in _Picard_ season 3. It's crazy how some people seem to be under the impression Disney is doing "well" financially. Disney sure as hell isn't acting like a financially well off company, you know, like they were acting about 4 years ago when they actually were financially well off.

I already knew this will happen after the new hope reboot. I gave it an another chance and I went in the second movie, and that was the last. They had so many good stories - almost any book or game they could pick to make a good movie, somehow they still managed to fuck it up. First I felt cheated, but now I'm so detached I don't really mind it what they do with it.

First, even if they had a good script Kennedy and her followers would destroy it. Second, Disney has a big problem spending way too much for what they produce. There is no hope for Star Wars under Kennedy or anyone who shares her ideology.

I met the beloved late Ray Stevenson on Ibiza a few times. He was a great person on top of being a great actor. I wanted to watch Ahsoka to pay him respect and than realised I shouldn’t watch it because everything I watched Ray in was great and I know that show is going to suck. So I rewatch Rome again! 13th! RIP Ray Stevenson!

Unfortunately, after seeing Mando 3, which was the biggest disappointment since the sequel trilogy of fanfics, I have to agree. People I know, not major SW fans, all watched Mando and they absolutely loved it. Every one of them said Mando 3 was trash. They actually laughed at it. They all said it was like a different show.

The first 2 seasons of Mando where good, the few episodes of season 2 that where bad I came to find out that KK had her grubby little claws in. Season 3 had her claws in most of them from what I hear. I am a mandalorian fan( the people and the first two seasons) and what they did was just unforgiveable. Taking this character they established as being a strong gunslinger, who only got his ass handed to him by clearly out manned situations, to this guy who needs to be rescued because he tripped over a small little pebble.
