Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC Benchmark: 3080Ti/5800X3D Max Settings Ray Tracing ON 4K (Day 1 Patch)

I know many PC players are currently having big problems with this game even after the day one patch, and EA has released a statement about it here: twitter.com/EAStarWars/status/1651990800862183426. My guess as to why I’m having a relatively good experience on my PC is possibly due the Ryzen 3D V-Cache CPU I’m running with the 5800X3D. I don’t know for sure since it’s really hard to tell what makes this run better on my setup, but AMD was promoting the new 7800X3D, 7950X3D and the 7900X3D CPU’s by bundling in a Free Digital Copy of the PC version of Jedi: Survivor. Perhaps they knew these CPU’s would run the game better for the GPU to not be bottlenecked? I understand that the other CPU’s shouldn’t have a problem running this game and many patches are needed, but this might be one reason that I can see at least as to why I’m not having many issues running this game currently.

I'm still on the fence about buying this. It looks good, but I've heard way too many horror stories about how badly the game runs on PC.

i have ps5 version and out curiosity i bought pc version as well pc version is still far better IMO as ps5 version is like playing a blurred out game on 30FPS or lower

What do you use to capture these videos? OBS? And what monitoring are you using MSI afterburner?

My 5800x3d and 3090 at 1440x3440 isn't getting a stable 60 in the scenes you've shown. Also RT toggle doesn't work and many people who think it's on are mistaken. Toggle it on and off and back on and your fps will suddenly drop. Once I actually got RT on after several on off on toggles my fps was in the 30s. It's also been shown that if you lower the preset below epic, it lowers internal render resolution, and can be seen changing in a config ini file.

No, it's on when you load the game with on, toggling on and off triggers a performance bug which led people to think it was off. In many scenes it's not directly visible it's on, but i tested it thoroughly, and loading the game with it on has the same RT reflections as when you reenable it while playing, but reenabling it just destroys fps as it somehow reduces CPU and GPU load to almost nothing. But don't let your mind be fooled by the performance drop, that is what is actually is the bug.

FSR2 Performance Mode is not native 4K!!!! I suggest mentioning in the video title that you are using FSR2

You should undervolt your 5800X3D and 3080 Ti! I’m seeing 150-160FPS on Koboh with a 5800X3D/4080 combo as it’s actually using the GPU then.

@@jaju123456 The game is optimized very well on Koboh. 150-160FPS and full GPU utilization and wattage. People these days literally don’t give anything a chance!

Seeing the CPU utilization drop down as low as 1% and only go as high as ~5% during gameplay is crazy. Shouldn't it be utilized way more? Even with the 60fps cap? I have a 5800X3D as well along with a RTX 3090, so almost the exact same system and I've never seen my CPU utilized so little in any game. Although I haven't purchased this particular one yet. And I probably won't ever purchase it because I refuse to support the practice of releasing a broken game.

in fairness, this guy also happens to have the game hard-capped at 60fps, which is also going to dramatically reduce the utilization of the V-Cache, on top of CPU frequency. If he just removed the game engine frame limiter, you'd see CPU utilization ranging between 20-40%, typically.

It'll be because they're on the latest version of Afterburner, for some reason it shows incorrect CPU usage

I've been hearing some bad things on the Steam review page about not even making it past the first loading screen and so on, even with a 3090... makes me kinda worried about the success of the game, since for a game like this it should normally see sales far beyond that of the PS5 release.

For reference, I'm running a pretty similar setup. I have a 5900X instead and a 6900XT. There's no issues hitting 60fps for me at 1440P.

Running this game on a 13900kf with a 3080ti 1440p All Epic RT and FSR2 on Quality and hitting 70-80FPS

I don't think RT is actually on. There is no way you would be getting 60 FPS

It has FSR2 turned ON. So it's not really full 4K.

GPU is not fully utilized under 4K, obvious blurring on the character's edge during motion. But at least it runs at decent FPS. I would personally wait till they fix it and when the game/cd key website is having a promo. This kind of practice should be a fraud for allowing people to pre-order the game.

I have 3080Ti, 32GB ram 3600Mhz and Core i7 9700K@4.9Ghz on all cores. This game does'nt run like this. It only goes to 30fps. Wht can it be? All settings on Max and even on 2K it runs on 30fps...

Read my pinned comment, I think it's the CPU config, I explain my theory there. Something is up with Ryzen 3D V-Cache CPU's, this game really likes them. I saw another video running a much weaker 6700XT and getting 60fps at 1440p with a 5800X3D as well. Also, note that Jedi Survivor was a sponsored game by AMD, they were including it with the purchase of their New 3D V-Cache CPU's like the 7800X3D.

That CPU is showing its age man. It took me awhile to upgrade off Sandy, but don't sleep on your CPU. Especially with the demand a lot of these newer titles put on it.

@@SebbS82 frame rate drops are more frequent with Quality, it's to each his own though, I think it looks good at 4k Performance when it's running at smooth frame rate. 1440p Quality might be more to your liking, and it still looks good that way too.

I've got a 5800X3D as well, paired up with a 4090. I could could get around 60-70ish FPS (with occasional stutter) at 3440x1440 ultra-wide, but GPU use is only around 60% with everything cranked up. I've just refunded it, if not for the fact there weren't crashes, this release would have been as bad as the release version of Last of Us P1. Really annoying to have yet another new release where most will have to wait days to weeks to actually enjoy it.

You need 13900K or 7800X3D for 4090. 5800X3D is a bottleneck in general for that GPU.

You can look online for reveiws and GPU scaling. 5800X3D is not enough. 4090 is so powerful in 1080p/1440p that those old gen CPU's are kinda on the way. TechPowerUp has great coverage for example. Go to the 7800X3D review and than in the "Game tests". 5800X3D is really at the middle. CPUs on top are +40-50FPS more.

This is the EVGA FTW3, normal at this custom card. I read any about this card last year. This card has 3x8 PIN and watt consumption is high.
