So fun fact: the servers for War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron (as well as Dark of the Moon and Rise of the Dark Spark) are still active and playable through the Transformers ReEnergized project. The project essentially makes its own dedicated servers which help get around the official servers that were shut down. While this can only be played on PC, the best part is that it can work on any version of the games, whether it is from Steam or if it's a pirated version (since the games are now really hard to get after they were taken down).

For anyone curious about the lore of this game: Megatron was a lower class citizen who thought it was unfair for Transformers to live in a class system based on what they transformed into. Optimus agreed with him, though they had different ideas on how they should change society. Megatron was like Malcom X, Optimus was like Martin Luther King Jr. In how they thought things should go. One day Megatron and Optimus got a meeting with what is basically Cybertron's version of Congress and asked yo be the President of Cybertron and they said no, deciding to make Optimus President instead. Then Megatron started a 4 MILLION YEAR LONG CIVIL WAR because he didnt get his way.

Hear me out: a remastered game with the all the campaigns from both games, the competitive multiplayer, *and also* an open map of Cybertron where you can take your custom Cybertronian (Autobot, Decepticon, or Neutral) and just shoot, jump, drive or fly to your heart's content in an endless fight like the War itself (which supposedly took decades before the events of these games took place).

An Open World Cybertron game, truly a game worth 80$ in a world where they want $80 for a crappy Assassins Creed. Tbh, I liked WfC more than FoC, probably because of its wonderful mechanics and features. But I will admit FoC had some superior designs, except the "bulkiness" of Optimus and Megatron, WfC had much more agile designs. But yeah I'd play the hell out of that, even if it was only as Open World as Assassin's Creed was (ie, you can drive where-ever you want inside the allotted area, but all your missions are also inside that area) Imagine, playing as Megatron, he's a gladiator still and you're exiting the arena to do a fetch and grab mission for Shockwave, who needs more spare parts for the Gladiators. Megatron isn't a tank at this point, and still a converted Miner, so he has to use the Train System from WfC and run most of the time. Oh boy this would be an epic game.

The drill looking boss around 7:00-8:00 I remember having to find a co-op partner to carry me through. I never managed to beat it on my own. There were a lot of parts of this game like that. Never knew if it was hard or I was bad. But also, the co-op on this game was so much fun. In the campaign and in the horde mode. I never really got into CoD zombies, but I got very into Escalation. I loved Eacalation more than the campaign, even, probably my favorite horde mode I've ever played.
