The important distinction is that "card abilities" happen AFTER dodge/cover. So it's: 1) Convert Surges 2) Apply Dodge/Cover 3) Attacker modifies attack dice with card abilities (like impact) 3b) Defender modifies attack dice with card abilities. 4) Roll defense dice

@@EdgeOfEnding Like I mentioned, Impact keyword is an example of the importance of order. You only convert hits into crits with Impact during the "attacker modifies attack dice with abilities" phase; therefore, you could lose all your initial hits through cover/dodge, leaving you unable to convert Impact crits later.

Great video! A couple things I've noticed that can be worked on (since you asked): 1: The ARC trooper's DC-15x lost Critical, not lethal. You can still get pierce with that. 2: The TX-130 Twin Laser Turret also has Critical one, so when firing with the main cannon and the turret you have Critical 2. 3: Impact only applies when attacking a unit with the Armor key word. 4: When you get the "Weapon Disrupted" vehicle damage token you can only use half the dice, but it lets you choose which of the dice are dropped. That means you can keep both red and a black instead of needing to take one of each color. Just want to emphasize again that I've really been enjoying your channel (mostly the legion stuff, lol). Hope this helps a little!

great reports coming out on legion. i wouldnt worry too much on getting the rules 100%. there are very few if any who have it 100%. its a tough game starting out on it - im enjoying each of the reports so far including the skirmish the other day. would love to see these being kept up. happy new year to all at guerrila miniature games

Also for a rules reference when you have impact x when you shoot units that don't have armor like the droids troopers at 16:34 in the video you dont change hits to crits they remain hits......

33:28. Unless there was some upgrade I didn’t notice, droideka’s are not droid troopers, so they cannot be chain ordered by a B1, (but they can be ordered by Super Tactical Droid because they have AI)

One thing I highly suggest with the vehicle bases is to lightly hit each side of the opening on the base with a file to open it up. Makes measuring movement for vehicles/weapon crews so much easier when they don't stick to the movement tool.

Surges are before removing dice from cover and dodges.. So you can block surges with cover and dodge (unless your surge to crit)

You keep making impact work against everything ^^ Only armor ash, also the tank can't use other clones tokens, only clone trooper units can share tokens. great game regardless, keep em coming :)

Veteran Clone Pilot does let the tank share tokens, but yes we do figure out the order of operations for converting :)

Impact was played incorrectly, you convert hits to crits when attacking something with the armor keyword, so it would work versus the B2's but thats it.

@ 8:40 you could have used orbital strike as it is range 4 and over. As the unit was at range 4 (closest figure) then it could have been used against them. Range is from unit leader to closest figure in enemy unit. Condition was met to use it. @52 mins, Rex should not of been able to use his 'Stand by' as he was shot at earlier so should have lost it. (I think)

Love the battle reports you are doing but would be more enjoyable if you read through the rules reference guide. Need to look over the order of operations for attacks, when keywords apply, using the move tool correctly, and knowing you cannot engaged two (2) units at the same time (you are not able to perform that move regardless of the unit). At the end of the game, you tally the units you have destroyed, not what is left on the table. The ARC-trooper DC-15x DID NOT lose lethal, it lost critical.

man, you really should have looked at the arc's card before playing lol. You made many different rule mistakes with them less then 2 rounds in

Halfway through Round 1, Orbital Strike has been played wrong (it's Range 4 to Infinite, not Range 4 is too close -_-), Droid player has a stack half the size of his army, BX's had their Sharpshooter ignored, and the Wookies are getting Area Terrain from a big ass rock they're nowhere near? We have Droids dodging while behind massive LoS-blocking Cover on Recover the Supplies? And in true GMG fashion, comments are saying Ash scammed the win despite losing? I think I'm good.
