I have no idea why this theme wasn’t put into ROTJ in a complete way. Only a small section of this theme was put into the movie, but it remains a theme capable of showing us a bridge between Leia and Luke’s theme. It is truly amazing.

I think it captures the revelation and realization between of a couple characters' (Luke and Leia's) special relationship that they both hadn't realized until that moment in the movie. With the prequels taken into account, its almost like a wound opened up by Anakin's fall begins to truly heal.

Before she died, Senator Padmé Amidala gave birth to a boy named Luke and a girl named Leia. Obi-Wan Kenobi asked that they be spirited away to protect them from the Sith (Sheev Palpatine and Darth Vader). Yoda advised that the Skywalker twins be separated. Senator Bail Organa and his wife Breha Organa the Queen of Alderaan would adopt Leia, while Obi-Wan Kenobi would take Luke with him to Tatooine before the boy’s relatives Owen and Beru Lars. Luke Skywalker would be trained in the ways of the Jedi like his father Anakin Skywalker while Leia Organa would become a flag bearer for the democratic ideas of liberty and justice like her mother Padmé Amidala. Throughout the early scenes of A New Hope, George Lucas intercut between Luke’s story and Leia’s story. There was a lot going on with the former and little going on with the latter. To fix that, Lucas had to kill off Luke’s carers Owen and Beru Lars, and have him and Obi-Wan meet Han Solo and Chewbacca at the Mos Eisley Cantina and book a ride aboard the Millennium Falcon to the Death Star, thrusting Luke into Leia’s story.

My most enjoyable music is motion picture scores in the classical style. John Williams embodies its apotheosis in scores of examples! John Barry's various movie excursions come to mind, too. Howard Shore's scores for Peter Jackson's cinematic masterpieces of The Lord of the Rings trilogy Extended Edition stand out prominently; I especially cherish his Elven themes for their unsurpassed elegance. I personally enjoy them because my wide vocal range enables me to sing along (though my command of speaking Quenya, Noldorin, etc., is rather lacking). Patrick Doyle's "Harry in Winter" from his score to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005, Warner Bros, Mike Newell) crosses all genres to stand amongst classical music on its own merits! And, of course, Mr. Williams's "Luke and Leia" (Star Wars: Return of the Jedi [1983, 20th Century Fox, Richard Marquand]). You lot of DR Koncerthuset performing this quintessentially poignant melody to your credit have come the closest in execution to what our movie mæstro had wrought, for which you have my deepest thanks. I wish I could share with Mr. Williams my thoughts and feelings on this music, as I elucidate herein. However, all the KZbin channels featuring his albums have closed their comments. If it is no difficulty, would someone reading this be able to facilitate my effort in this matter, please? Thank you.
