Duel of the Fates is still the most intense and stressful song I've ever heard. I've never heard a song that makes my heart race faster, fills me with adrenaline, literally gives me anxiety from the raw power that it conveys. John Williams was a genius, and you two did a fantastic job with representing his music.

I am listening to this in celebration of my awesome treasure find. I found a copy of the original 1977 - unedited star wars on VHS with the original artwork, which was only available for one year (1993, if I am correct.) for fifty cents at my Library. It was old enough to not be called "A new hope." The title states it only to be called "STAR WARS." and the back of the case rambles on about how it is an experimental and breathtaking film. So yes, I got a piece of history, and I am now celebrating to this.

i have a feeling Lady Stirling would be scary with an actual sword a lot of the "moves" one performs with a sword rely heavily on the mobility of your wrist and its strength and using a violin is the same way all she would really need is t actually learn the moves which just takes a bit of time

That Darth Maul theme was the greatest thing that's ever happened to me

***** I don't want to take away from the feeling of joy that has encompassed you, but the Darth Maul "theme" you heard was actually Duel of the Fates. Darth Maul never had a full theme composed specifically for him. In fact, John Williams has stated that he intended to use "DotF" as a concert suite during the end credits. The first time "Duel of the Fates" was heard in the movies was during the final lightsaber battle between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Darth Maul. However, there is a track that includes the first appearance of Darth Maul. It is known as "The Droid Invasion" theme. However, if you were to download the entire album "Sci-Fi Classics(Themes from Star Wars), from the Royal Empire Orchestra, the title there is called "The Droid Invasion & The Appearance of Darth Maul". In the video game, "The Yoda Chronicles: Menace of the Sith", there is a part where Darth Maul says that "DotF" is 'his theme song'. Now, whether you take that game to be in any sense canonical, is entirely up to you. John Williams did, however, create "motifs" for certain parts throughout the movie, either to introduce a character, or to add...emotion, shall we say, to a single scene. As I've not seen Episode 1 for quite a while, I may be mistaken in saying that Darth Mauls' motif is heard during his first appearance on Naboo, or during one or more of his appearances on Tatooine. I would like to mention that I did not write this information to embarrass you, or single you out in any way for mistaking "Duel of the Fates" as Darth Mauls' theme. It was simply to make an informed post about a composition that is frequently mistaken for being something it is not. Have a wonderful morning, afternoon, or evening, wherever you are.

I used the term 'Darth Maul theme' because that's what Star Wars fans usually associate that particular score with. I know Darth Maul has his own specific cameo theme, but let's face it, that scene in Ep 1 when Maul ignites his lightsaber and Duel of the Fates starts up is far more iconic. Hope I didn't bug you with my noobness ;)
