With episode 7 and onward being done by Disney, I still consider Episode 6 to still be the end of a series, the end of Anakin's story. The prequels were about his rise and tragic fall and specifically this movie alone, The Return of the Jedi, was about his final redemption. Star Wars may go on indefinitely, but Anakin can finally be at peace.
@t.khattabi77275 жыл бұрын
Wow and I thought I was the only one who thought that. The new trilogy 7, 8 and probably 9 are okay movies and even though the prequels were a bit odd, they were still connected well with the original trilogy and Anakin. The connection between the new sequel with the prequels/original trilogy just isn't there, also because of the completely different story, too many new characters and planets etc.

Then I heard Yub-Nub when I saw RotJ on TV and my jaw dropped with how silly and underwhelming it was. “From a certain point of view”, Victory Celebration is the best, near-and-dear “original” version. I think it's interesting, when looking at the Star Wars soundtracks as a whole, William's rarely uses vocals in the tracks. Duel of fates and the emperor throne room scenes are the main ones. The song at the end of phantom menace is a heightened version of the throne room scene to underscore how this is the start of Palpatine's victory. All uses of choirs come in climactic moments, typically with a shroud of evil around them. Ending with this song is a far departure, like their very victory over the dark side changes how music represents the world and the galaxy can sing outwardly again

It honestly made me tear up a bit because they completely destroyed a perfect ending by making the new sequel trilogy. This victory celebration scene will always be the true ending to Star Wars and I hold it very dearly in my heart!

The episode 7 and 8 were good But 9 ruined anakins reedmption
@SubduedRadical2 жыл бұрын
@@eltfhj69yt99 7 was good. I actually enjoyed it. 8 was a total disaster. 9 was like watching a person attempting to recover a fumble ball (the fumble being 8). They did what they could with it, but 8 so ruined the franchise, the best they could do was flop and fail as they tried to slow the bleeding.

Fuck Disney! They ruin everything they touch. The “magic” died a long time ago. Star Wars ends with ROTJ! 😊
