So, is this Story just to explain that retcon about Poe Dameron being a smuggler in Episode 9, whereas everything else stated that he immidiately joined the New Republic?

I hate Poe Dameron, but then again I hate pretty much every character from the Sequel Trilogy (still haven’t watched “The Rise Of Skywalker” and at this point I don’t think I ever will...). Therefore, I will never, willingly, spend money on and purchase any books from, or even remotely related to the Sequel Trilogy. Now I really, really like Oscar Isaac as an actor, as far as I’m concerned one of the best around, but ever since those awful pretend-“Star Wars” movies his career has been in free fall (see what I did there.) But he will have one chance later on this year (or next?! because of the pandemic) to redeem himself and his credibility in big sci-if/fantasy franchises as Duke Leto in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune”. Not sure “Dune” qualifies as a big franchise, or franchise at all for that matter...but we’ll see. Instead I’m waiting for my pre-ordered copy of “Queen’s Peril”, which you enjoyed soo much, so that I can read about wardrobe changes and space tampons 🤪! I read a sample chapter, or part of one, and you know what...once again...not bad! I’ll have more serious thoughts when/after I have read the novel.
