Turned out awesome Rusty. I've never weathered a black ship but I have a light gray panel liner from Tamiya. I wonder if it would work?

Thanks! I've seen people use that panel liner, I thought it might be a bit much so I decided not to go that route.

I'm still not crazy about these Sequel Trilogy designs but at least this one could be converted to a Ralph McQuarrie concept ship. As far as painting goes, it seems like it's better to paint a grey plastic version of this design than the black styrene version. I think where coloring goes, it's easier to darken up from a light base than it is to lighten darker colored plastic.

I actually like the design, It's grown on me as a good evolution of the x-wing. I'm not a fan of the paint scheme and the orange and white one in the last movie was even worse.
