This was actually my favorite season. But it probably was my favorite for the exact reason that a lot of people didn’t like it. It focused heavily on Bo Katan. For people who never watched clone wars or rebels, they had no idea who she was and what her significance was to the Star Wars universe.

the series Ahsoka taught us that if you really put your mind to it, anyone can indeed learn to wield the force, it's a point of contention. I think of it this way; anyone can learn to play an instrument, but if you are born with talent, that learning will be much easier.

M-count varies. Grogu has an exceptional M-count making him a natural force wielder, which is why the Empire sought his blood for their cloning process. Others with a very low M-count can still learn to use the force, but its much more of a struggle, though it may lead to a break-thru moment. --- Season 3 weaknesses mostly centered around two episodes that needed better direction/writing at times. The real issue is that there are very vocal viewers who want to dismiss everything on the basis of a few stumbles, and are not satisfied until everyone believes their opinion.

I'm glad you enjoyed this season, I don't know why but so many didn't understand it, saying it had become the Bo Katan show, which it didn't. Nothing in this season could have happened without the stubbornness of Din Djarin driving them forward. This season was more about his words, than his actions. Din was the diplomat, Bo was the strategist, two different roles, but Din was still front and centre. Even the episode everyone hated on with Jack Black took us back to S1, showing Din's PTSD with B2 droids. Din slightly regressed and then overcome it after the droid bar, which they showed in the scene when the darksaber got lighter for him, when he sliced through the droid. Usually the DS would have slammed to the floor, it didn't that time. It was subtle but it was there. Many said he didn't have any development, but he did, including him finally realising Grogu should be his son. We knew that but he had been blind to it.

I absolutely agree with your thoughts on this season, and I do disagree with the people claiming it is bad.I do see where they come from, Season 3 can seem a little scattered judging on an episode by episode basis, but looking back, it tells a very cohesive story about the Mandalorians. about the Sequel movies, you will step in to them with knowledge from the Mandalorian series that we did not have when the movies came out, that might be to your advantage. I like that you will be going in with an open mind, thank you!

I liked season 3 it was tying up the story threads established in previous seasons. The last few scenes were setting up for season 4, that has since changed to the mandalorian and grogu movie, in addition to the heir to the empire movie (the avengers styled mandoverse movie) they are going back to focusing on movies so season 4s stories will be converted to a movie, i like the idea of 3 seasons, then 2 movies then hopefully back to more seasons

Yeah, I don't think i'd put S3 top tier of the show but it's still good TV IMO, with a lot of great elements like more Bo-Katan and giving the Mandalorians (plural :) more of the story etc. And they managed to give Grogu an arc without breaking the character (by the end he's closer to a partner/padawan for Din - more capable and making his own choices - but still has that cuteness overload :). (and personally my make or break for a reactor is that they go in ready to make up their own mind and give _their_ honest response because seeing things through fresh eyes is one of the draws for me)

There are many good things about the sequel trillogy, if you just approach it as pure entertainment and don't look too deep. Some great characters and acting. Amazing art direction. Beautiful scenes. Cool special effects mixed with practical effects. Fun fight scenes. New Force powers. Nostalgic fan service. The "problem" with the series is in the writing of the over arching story. And the inconsistent direction. If you don't think about the plot holes and storyline too much, they are fun movies to watch.

First Comment! Alright, time to conclude my ramblings on this series: Anyone else notice those "Preatorian Guards" have a similar chestplate design to that of the First Order Stormtroopers Corps? Where did that sneaky Miss. Kane end up after her Handler died? I suspect She will have found another Warlord,or Warlady, to answer to. I find it unlikely that someone as intelligent and calculating as Moff Gideon would not have set up some sort of contingency in case of His demise... The Shadow Council will definitely start squabbling over what is left of Gideon's reasources and especially over his old I.S.B. contacts. What do You think, Tara? In another comment, I will leave some suggestions for future reactions!

The fan complaining about this season are the same fans who were sold on this show being about a mandalorian bounty hunter we weren’t sold on baby yoga being a co-main. The show was called the mandalorian not the Din and baby yoga show yet the show has been full of mandalorians and their culture. When the Dark Saber showed up I knew Mandalore, a lot more mandalorians and Bo were going to be in the show. So I do get the crying about Bo being a third co-main they weren’t crying after baby yoga showed up and after Din rescued him bringing him along. I don’t get these people this season was great to me the story was great they are mad about Din a man who never wanted to be a leader if that was the case we would have had flashbacks of that also no where in season one or two showed us that he was going to be a leader of a planet and people.

I know you are confused by the fact that Moff wanted to use the force. For over 40 years, no, not everyone could use the force. It was a part of all life, but not all could wield it. It was one of the reasons why many disliked Ahsoka. That that part of the lore was changed to have Sabine use the force, when she couldn't in Rebels. And if she could have, Kanan would have been the one to teach her. But she couldn't, so he didn't. So by her using the force now, it taints Kanan's legacy in making it where he didn't teach her, if he could have. It is one thing about Disney Star Wars that many who have been fans from the beginning have issues with. The lack of respect for the lore that came before. Even Disney tosses away lore that they had a hand in, from one project to another, now. So it means that nothing is lore, therefore isn't lore breaking. Which means there is nothing to really hold on to, to enjoy.

I'm a very long time star wars fan, and it's good to hear you going in open minded. I thoroughly enjoyed the sequels and, while they're not as good as some others, they're not the mess so many other people think they are. I think they went in wanting something specific and were upset that they got something else.

@davidkeye9334 It's not an opinion. It's factual as to how exactly they were written. Yes people wanted something specific-a story line with forethought for a 3 part series before filming. They had several story lines to choose from. One involved Luke had a wife and children and they lived on the same planet as Ahsoka which sounded really cool. Instead we didn't even get Luke, Leia, and Han together in all 7 hours of movie space. Each movie was literally made up on the fly. I mean, a 3rd death star thing? Give me a break. Can we think of something new please? Rey killing Palpatine? Not a chance.
@davidkeye93342 ай бұрын
@@moabman6803 the fact that you don't like it and other people do makes it an opinion by definition. That is the subjectivity of art. Not everyone will feel the same way about it. You cannot force someone else to agree with your opinion. The more you argue it, the less meaningful your point.

The sequels to me in a nutshell: 7 is fun, 8 looks amazing, 9 ... I don't think I have to get any more in depth than that. I really enjoyed Mando s3. Then again, I'm part of the fanbase that wanted more Mandalorian lore, and we knew about Bo Katan and the Darksaber, and whatever else got introduced in s3 as part of an effort to connect more broadly to the SW universe. I can understand the complaints from the perspective of only wanting Dinn & Grogu centric episodes, but the way they did s3 opens up the story significantly and establishes a lot of stuff about this point in time at this place. Wasn't that a major complaint several years ago? There's really just no completely pleasing this fandom now.

Tara, the only thing that I will say about the Sequel Trilogy is that: Lucasfilm learned a very hard lesson with those movies. Plan out the overall story arc, even if not the details themselves. The Star Wars fandom likes to think they get to all decide as a group what shows and seasons are good and which aren't. That has never been how Star Wars works though. There never has to be a consensus. We're not a political party, where you have to support one thing and not get behind another, lol. Every fan gets to decide what they like for themselves. I love this season and Ahsoka because it has SO much payoff for what people invested in Rebels and The Clone Wars Siege of Mandalore were waiting for. People used to think Return of the Jedi was a disappointing third film. Heck, that silly scene in X-Men Apocalypse... trying to convince people that they HAVE TO think Empire is the best film. "Third one's always the worst." What a strangely controlling attempt at monoculture. Time changes all perspectives.
