@@verbalkint4258 "from my point of view the JEDI are evil!" Think about it- WE know Palpatine manipulated everything. But the Jedi betrayed themselves and the Republic the moment they took command of an army that's sole purpose was to oppress planets that wanted to leave the Republic of their own volition. Look at the start of the war. A Jedi lead clone army invades Genoisis to rescue 2 Jedi prisoners who were uninvited, spying and committing other espionage on a sovereign planet. The invasion force immediately attacks and tries to destroy the armies of the faction trying to leave. The Republic was the bad guy in the clone wars. And the Jedi didn't see it. They helped it. Then they attempted to take power in a coupe. "He's too dangerous to be left alive!" Totally correct, but still illegal. It IS treason/illegal for the Jedi to a) arrest someone and usurp control of the government and to b) execute said person without trial. It doesn't matter that WE know it was probably the morally correct thing to do. Its still illegal and treason against the Republic.

Ezra is now a full fledged Jedi Knight. This could be considered his final trail, the facing of the mirror. He was offered the power to save his parents. This is the ultimate temptation and he resisted it. So he faced the mirror and resisted the temptation. So he is a Jedi Knight. The Trial of Skill: he outwitted the Empire at every turn. The Trial of Courage: he’s faced overwhelming odds and has overcome them. The Trial of Spirit: Ezra remained committed to stopping the Empire no matter what hardships he faced. The Trial of the Flesh: Ezra had to witness his own master die but still he did not turn. And finally the Trial of Insight: He saw through the lies and deceptions of Palpitine and resisted the temptation. That’s all 5 trials that he’s passed so I think we can all agree that by this point he’s now a full fledged Jedi Knight.

Hell yeah dude! To be honest if he rebuilt the order instead of Luke I doubt the sequels would've ever happened. Because Kanan taught Ezra to be a good person first and a Jedi second, while with Luke it was the other way around due to Obi-Wan and Yoda sticking to the old ways. Besides, at this point I'd say that he's at the level of a Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars.
@justincummings85572 жыл бұрын
Then I need to do this. By the right of the Council. By the will of the Force. Rise Ezra Bridger. Jedi Knight of the Republic.
@Icybubba2 жыл бұрын
@@ultrashadow9551 I appreciate you not just mindlessly hating the sequels and actually understanding the story it was conveying Luke attempted to rebuild the Jedi the exact way they were before their fall, Anakin set balance to the force which meant taking out the Jedi who rejected the dark side, and taking out the Sith who rejected the light side. Luke made the mistake of not learning from the failures of the Jedi and as such the Jedi fell again. Kanan and Ezra were pure force users, yes they were Jedi, but they learned from the mistakes, they embraced attachments and love and compassion. It was Kanan's love and attachment to his family(the ghost crew) that allowed him to save their lives and stop the production of the TIE Defender. It was Ezra's love and attachment to Lothal that allowed him to defeat Thrawn. The sequels built on the themes of the prequels regarding the Jedi and I love them for that. So yes, if it had been Ezra rebuilding the Jedi order it probably wouldn't have collapsed so hard. Now let's be clear there was more to the fall of the Jedi than just Luke's mistakes, another thing is Han and Leia sending Ben off to Luke which allowed Snoke and Palpatine to start twisting his heart. I do wonder how Ezra would have handled Ben Solo
@Big_Wash012 жыл бұрын
@@Icybubba Keeping in mind that Ben isn't quite the duelist Anakin was, and Kylo Ren not being at Vader's level (yes, I consider Kylo Ren and Darth Vader separate beings from Ben Solo and Anakin Skywalker), I'd say Ezra might have a slight edge on Ben. No one here gonna appreciate our boy Ezra resisting what is the one thing he's always desired from the beginning of the show? To have his family back, to be with his parents, who he loved with all his heart. And now here, he has the only chance he'll ever get to be with them, and he finds the will power to say no. How many of us would fall into that temptation? Palpatine is a genius yes, making himself appear kind and harmless, not using the force of a lightsaber to get you to do what he wants, but manipulating your heart. He did it with everyone else, Anakin included. One of the most gifted and powerful Jedi Knights ever, fell to Sideous' ploy because his love for Padme was so strong and powerful, he was willing to make a pact with the devil himself to save her. Ezra here had the same chance. Deal with the devil, have the one thing you want most granted to you. Not money, not power, not pleasures beyond count. The people you love. The greatest treasure of all. And Ezra had the will to let it go. Why is no one appreciating that? Especially since it's his defining moment of going from arrogant, annoying kid to a Jedi... kinda like a certain other padawan who started off real annoying but ended up becoming everyone's favorite Jedi ever?

He did what Anakin could not
@CascadianRanger3 жыл бұрын
@@ladygrey7425 he was Anakin if Anakin could truly have the family he needed. He had a sort of "family lite"with Padme, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex. But he could never be truly and fully open with that family and love. It had to be hidden and tarnished by lies and fear. Ezra didn't have this burden. He experienced loss of family early, so to him, it was an accept part of life. He was allowed to be open, proud and loving with his adopted family and most importantly, his master. He was able to see his master as much of his father as his teacher. Like Ezra said, Kanan taught him more than just the force. He taught him how to be a good person, the man his bio parents would have wanted for him. And be cause he was allowed to HAVE that family love, and had experienced such loss, Kanans death didn't, couldn't break him. Because no matter the pain and sadness, he knew he had survived it himself. And he had the rest of his family to fall back on, grieve with, and move forward with. The dialogue, animation, story direction, music, tension, and voice acting in this scene is top notch, and rivals some of clone wars’ best. The fact that Palpatine actually wanted Ezra to turn to the Dark side might indicate that, with a proper training by a Jedi Master, he could be really, really strong
@BlueToadPerson3 жыл бұрын
You might want to watch this again. This wasn't a turn to the dark side, instead, it was worse. We see that after this scene Ezra is set upon by royal guards. there's another thing at play. Palpatine has Vader why would he need Ezra? The chosen one over some old boy who barely knows the dark side and has been trained to be a Jedi. No, this was so much worse. Palpatine wants complete control of the galaxy and I mean, complete control. He wants to get rid of the Lothal rebellion as they have had a moderate impact on the galaxy, helping to spread hope and push back. So, how does he do it? Well, how about removing one of the most important people in the group? Kanan's already dead, so no point in doing anything with him. Hm, there's that apprentice that opened up the time realm and knows how to do a lot, changing Ahsoka's fate.. Hm.. let's tempt him and get him to be with his parents so that he's not here and can stop me oh, and he'll cause a catastrophic change to the timeline and potentially stop the ghost team from even leaving Lothal and becoming a threat. Yeah, that works!. And that's what he's trying to do. Remove Ezra and change the past to remove the Lothal rebellion. And he does it by tempting Ezra with the one thing he's wanted fully since the beginning, a family. HIS family, his mom, and dad. Ezra didn't push back the dark side, he pushed back temptation and moved on, letting go of the ones he loves but affirming his love for them. He Affirms and pushes back Palpatine's pull and becomes a full Jedi and makes sure that his friends, his new family still have him in this moment.

@@BlueToadPerson Oh! What an interesting insight into the WBW connection-that what he’s really doing there is removing him from the timeline. Never thought of it that way before! I’d just considered it on the surface, that he’d heard Ezra say to Ashoka in WBW that he wished his life were different and that he missed his parents. Palpatine knew this was a great gotcha temptation for Ezra to open the portal, but an added benefit of getting him to “unknowingly “ open the portal would also be removing him from the timeline…like Rebels had never happened at all…whoa.

I think that Ezra's words at the end to his parents really clarified something to me about "letting go" of earthly attachment in a lot of religions, mostly Eastern ones. Ezra will always love his parents, and they will always be a part of him. Despite that, life goes forward, and if he had decided to cling to them, then he could have invited disaster. Instead, he says that he has to let them go, and he does, but in doing so he reaffirms his love for them. And I like that sentiment that 'letting go' of the people you love doesn't mean you stop loving them. And ironically, I think that kind of thinking is something that Palpatine either does not understand or chooses not to understand, and that's what led to him being blindsided by Vader/Anakin in Return of the Jedi.

You get a fresh start, so crossing paths with them again is up to your actions, and theirs." 3- Removing the shackles with the Force, he did it when Ezra was captivated, breaking the illusion with a reminder of his might. Had he asked Thrawn to do it, it would reinforce his kindly grandfather persona 4- "Its what you deserve" sends all kinds of red flags. "Nothing is impossible to the Force. It is not wrong to choose the path that leads your heart back home" I think those phrases could convince Ezra while planting a seed of doubt about the emperor.

Nah. Even if he had done what you said, Ezra wouldn't have given in. @0axis7714 жыл бұрын
@@xrstevenson Not at all. The fact is, Anakin also kept feeling that the Jedi Order was failing in what they were doing. It was not just that the Sith were evil or such. Look at how the Jedi Order downright abandoned Ahsoka in the Clone Wars. Rather than a fair trial, they let politics push them to turn their backs on her. Mace Windu was the worst of them, having not only tried to pass off the event as the "will of the Force" but also was going against the Jedi way by trying to kill Palpatine when he was perceived to have been beaten. Anakin's fall to the dark side and being manipulated by Palpatine easily is a combination of both the failure of the Jedi Order, Obi-Wan not being able to truly teach Anakin the wisdom he needed to learn, and finally, the fact that Anakin was closed off from the world. He kept his marriage and relationship with Padme a secret and no one was able to understand him, something that grew even worse with the reveal that she was pregnant. That made it easy for Palpatine to prey on him. So no, Palpatine wouldn't have succeeded in turning Ezra or would have successfully manipulated him by choosing different words. Because Ezra, by this point, grew immensely and experienced hardships and lessons in life to overcome those things. That's the very reason why Kanan's final lesson that he had Ahsoka help Ezra realize was to let go.

The Emperor's Palpatine voice is a lot different than his Sidious voice. He actually sounds like a nice, caring, old man when he was acting like Palpatine. Kinda eerie that he can turn on that caring sultry grandpa voice whenever it most beneficial for him, like he does with Ezra

So I'm kind of left wondering, if Ezra can do this, open up a portal to different possibilities. Do you think Vader would have forced him to create a possibility where Padme lives if he knew about this?

This is really something I would've fallen for if I had the opportunity,honestly.It's scary how much of myself I see in Ezra in that moment.
@marcosortega33504 жыл бұрын
If someone falls for that, they are either just plain dumb or secretly selfish. But I see where you’re coming from. It’s actually rather easy for us to actually fall for that type of trick. He played on Ezra’s emotion and the loss of his parents. Judging by your comment, I’d say you have lost your parents, too. I can’t imagine how rough that would be. However, would you have done it if you knew that Palpatine could control the World Between Worlds if you did? Maybe, maybe not. But believe me, if I were to be in that situation, it would take me hours to decide. I can’t say whether or not I would fall for that.

I would have fallen for something like this tbh. Honestly using something like this to trick someone else is just a straight up asshole move.
