The Battle of Corellia was one of the first large-scale Naval battles between the Grand Army of the Republic And the Confederacy of Independent Systems. There had been a number of skirmishes between Naval forces and the seizing of a few planets before, but most battles predating the Battle of Corellia were largely limited in scale. The Republic, already unprepared for full-scale war with almost half of its former member worlds, was nearly thrown into a panic at the appearance of a major Separatist fleet on Coruscant's doorstep. All available ships from nearby Core worlds were immediately redeployed to Coruscant. However, as the last elements were marshalled, Republic Intelligence reported that a large portion of the original Separatist fleet had been redeployed elsewhere. The location of these missing ships was at the time unknown, but it was deemed that this reduction of enemy strength was too much of an opportunity to ignore. The newly formed Core Defense Fleet (a catch-all used to describe all of the ships mustered in response to the Separatist fleet at the time) jumped at once to Corellia, with Acclimators at the fore and with anti-fighter frigates running patrols around the formation. Decrypted Separatist communications, as well as after battle decryption of recovered ship and droid memory banks, revealed that the Separatists had barely even considered the possibility that the Republic might sally out from Coruscant and were utterly unprepared for the Republic's assault. For the initial phase of the battle, the Separatists were utterly confused as to the events that were unfolding. Some ships chose to valiantly charge the Republic formation, most died almost immediately at the attempt. Most other ships, however, chose to flee, some jumping to hyperspace almost at random. Despite the Separatists rushed attempt to flee the field, the Republic managed to take advantage of the brief period of time when the Separatist ships required to power up their hyperdrives (For those unaware, the charging of the Hyperdrives is the period when a ship is most vulnerable, as almost all power is diverted away from shields and weapons). In total, the Republic was able to destroy a total of sixteen Separatist ships-of-the-line at the loss of only a few fighters. Such a crushing victory, after an intense period of panic, lead to a dramatic increase in morale for both member systems and the general population. The Republic had shown that its military was capable of besting the Separatists and was able to defend its worlds. With such a seemingly large victory many started to wonder if the war would be over relatively quickly and that the conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems would be looked back on as only a quick rough patch in the millennia of peace that had been enjoyed. Sadly, in the many coming months and years, such early enthusiasm would be washed away by the grim reality that is warfare on a galactic scale. Shack, you overestimate the range of the Venator beam weapon, you are ordering them to fire it too far from their target, they will start to maneuver to get in range without you noticing.

Reed Coffman it is small indeed, your enemy must be on top of you to fire, that doesn't seems to be the case to fire at space stations for some reason.

Yes it is, the nearest edges of the station have to be just as close as a ship does. The beam animation goes to the center of the model, regardless of the part of the enemy's mass that you targeted.

Jerome Allen I always found odd that instead of firing at that point of the station where all the rest is attached to, the beam weapons fire at that point where the shield generator is at.

IMPORTANT STRATEGY: Take over Mygeeto and build mines after installing a barracks, and then build a "space mine" there after having conquered Muunilinst next to it If you do that, MYGEETO WILL BE WORTH 8820 CREDITS EACH DAY! Sorry for the caps, but you really need to see this Shack! I just tested it in V 1.2 and it works. Be wary though, they have at least a Providence and a Lucrehulk in that area. Use all your might and strike fast, and then you will reap the profits!

You know what's funny is that I actually tend to stack my fleet up first and sell all the ships I either don't need or can't free up like most of the corvettes or the ships trapped like the ones on dantooine, then I, usually will secure Fresia,Foerost and Cato and then from their I'll either go for Fonder,Thyferra,Bestine and Mechis so I can secure Abregado or I'll just go straight for Geonosis since if you take Geonosis you can get about 7500 per day if you max it out which makes it almost as many credits as Mygeeto but the thing is they are also Ryloth and Azoc 3 which are also ok mining planets the only really challenge is take out Geonosis level 5 space station along with some of the capital ships they have in orbit but once you take it out along with most of the planets the CIS controls the southwest part of the map can be a great place to make credits,produce most of the higher tier units you get as the Republic and safely produce capital ships from Rothana,Hypori and Geonosis it's just that it's a bitch to drag your units and to try to send them to the core just be aware that if you wait too long they might dig in and build an insane amount of defences like the flak cannons or the heavy factories which are hard as heck to take down. .

Shack, the Venator's beam weapon were just the SPHA artillery lasers. You can see them in the beginning of episode 3, so the background behind them may be considered legends, but they are in the movie which makes them canon in the same way that delta squad is still canon but republic commando is not.

When you have space battle, instant research garnison technology up to max. It gives you free units during battle in reinforcments panel. At level 3 of it you can get even 3 free venators just for 5300 credits

Some things I discovered while playing the new update: Geonosis can now build capital ships (so its OP because Geonosis builds everything faster) Arquitens and Peltas are really good cis can now build a network of heavy defence turrets around their large starbases cis starbases now give you recusent light destroyers and providence carriers in battle (before it was only munificent frigates). You can build capital ships at tech 3 but you can't build level 5 space stations until tech 4, this means at tech 3 you can only build capital ships on a few planets (the ones that start with level 5 space stations). The ones I remember are Coruscant for the republic and Geonosis and Hypori for the cis. Here are some prime targets: Mygeeto: Best income planet in the game. If you control this and Bespin you've basicly won. Geonosis: Builds capital ships really fast. Also has really good income if you build mines. Minntoonie: Builds the Malevolance and also other capital ships. Edit: I believe coruscant is actually the best income planet but whatever

Ricardo Greene you tech up by building research facilities. You can build them on coruscant, Cato neimoidia, alderaan, muunilist and some other planets. You only need one though.

Shack here are somethings you should know when fighting the CIS: They have 2 New ground units The Dwarf Spider Droid and The Super Tank from the Clone Wars series. They also have 2 New Space units and a New hero. They have a New frigate (which I dont remember the name of) and they have the Supply Ship from the Clone Wars series which can repair fighters by docking the fighters inside then ejecting them out again once fully repaired. The New hero is Admiral Trench which commands a Providence Dreadnought, its has the same weapons from the normal one, but it is 3 times as big and has 2 New abilities. Tracking Torpedos and the ability which orders all ships to fire on a specific target, but With increased damage. (Dont remember the name of the ability). The CIS Space station has also got a major buff. Instead of deploying 2 Munificent-class star frigate and 2 Techno Union frigates at lvl 5 it now deploys: 2 Munificent-class star frigates, 1 Techno Union frigate, 1 Recusant-class light destroyer and 1 Providence-class. I dont know which lvl the station deploys these New ships. Also putting Yoda in space is just putting him at risk of dying, you wont get anything from him when he is in Space only on the ground. Lastly what you said about around the 10 min mark about the laser is legends. During the Battle of Coruscant Anakin had some SPHA onboard his crusier and he decided to then use them against the enemy ships, which we all saw was VERY effective. And after that the SPHA-T (Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery-Turret) was born, but short lived. Now in the New cannon it has been replaced by a deathstar type of turret under the ship which we can see in The New Battlefront 2 game (good job on ruining that one Dice). not nessisary, in the movie we see the initial concepts of the venetor with the beam weapon but dont see the source beyond that it comes form the hanger. the later concept refinements could have been done to give a proper source. same reasoning for the artillery units in the hanger bay.

eomerseored 1: Yes it does come out of the bottom hangar, but I dont know how they did it since in the 2nd movie we see it can only shot straight or up. But we have to remember that that version was the first and the one used on the crusier was a much later version. 2: Well the SPHA anwear to the laser would have been the cannon one if they had said what the laser was in the movie, we only got to learn about it in a book that wasnt accepted as cannon so it was turned into legends and since anything in Battlefront 2 is automaticlly made into cannon Dice's anwear to the laser is thereby the cannon one.

IDoThings mtt is the multi troop transport. Its tough and deploys up to 6 separate squads of b1 battledroids. I typed it as a warning as to what it can do. I've used the supertank and it's... Squishy. Deals low dmg for an artillery unit from what I found.

I know what the mtt is but I thought you were saying super tank or trying to lol also from my use of the super tank it has a shorter range than a at te which I think Is kinda dumb and the at te took its shields down with 2 shots of its main gun in skirmish so I think it needs a buff slightly on range shields and damage but I also think the super tank is better vs infantry with area of effect because of the rockets so the super tank is more of a counter to the clones since the droids aren’t as good as the clones

You better rush for the Corporate sector in the top left of the map, Mygeeto gives you so much money. USE COMMANDO RAIDS! Also abandon some of your surrounded planets or solely space worlds, Maw, the wheel, Roche Asteroids, etc.

Hey Shack, a really easy yet tedious way to avoid space stations is to use Yoda and either Anakin or Obi-Wan for commando raids. The Jedi are nearly invincible now and Yodas map hack help to find and eventually destroy things like power generators and other key buildings. I've basically captured half the galaxy using this tactic.

Once you get to Tech Lvl 2 start replacing your Acclamators with the Arquintens Class I have found that to be far better and they have the shield ability as well

Yes lol I approve of this. Put the arquitens in front and acclamators In back and once they get drawn in activate shield ability and send in your fighter swarm to take out shields since the reps fighters are really good vs ships in my experience

You forgot that Yoda and Mace Windu have venators. You should create a fleet wit them, some supportships (acclamators, pelkas and frigates) and a sizeable ground force. Then use this fleet to start conquering less important worlds that aren't connected to other worlds while the main fleet pushes out and starts trying to secure the mid-rim, and focusing on larger targets. And it would be very nice if you added some sort of announcer saying what has happened at the start of every episode. And remember to keep up the good work. Cheers!

Keep an eye on enemy station levels if you see a stationless world go to t5 that'll mean so started at max tech.

One thing Shack, when you build up the tech you need to immediately build up the station in Rothana because that builds venators and is the only easy way to defend Kamino's space with venators

Shack you get all the heroes in all GC.In Fall Of The Jedi at tech level 5 you get Order 66 which kills all the jedi but gives you Vader,Emperor,Tarkin and 3 Star destroyers.Thats the only difference.But i am sure you would still chose Clone Wars.But hey ,whatever.

I personally think you should have done Fall of the Jedi. This is essentially the same thing, but once you get to Tech Level 5, you *after a little bit* will receive dialogue and footage of Order 66, which will kill your Jedi, but Delta Squad, Cody, Palpatine, and Tarkin (I'm pretty sure he is there as well) will be there, and shortly afterwards, Anakin will turn into Vader. You get Imperial Star Destroyers after a little bit, and I haven't played far into it, but from what I hear, you then get to build imperial units (Star Destroyers) yourself an certain planets. Its really good, and is worth trying. Shack, a tip, those early bombers are NTB-630 Naval Bombers, they preceded the Y-wings, I believe once you get proper Y-wings you’ll see increased dmg across the board

You can get around that bug on Honoghr by repositioning your buildings and ground units from the galactic map before starting the battle. just zoom in twice into a planet and you can move them around pre-defined spots on the map. Helps a ton with defensive strategy.

Shack I've been playing this mod myself recently and I have to warn you about flak cannons, which are the CIS version of turbolaser towers. Oh my god, they are impossible to take down. It takes an artillery unit like twenty shots to destroy one and they can kill an at-pt walker in two shots. The only ways I've thought of to destroy them are 1) use a speeder to get line of sight on them while artillery slowly kills them (you have to move the speeder while your doing this) and 2) use delta squad's turret hacking ability, which doesn't put the turrets under your control but does disable them. Also, I've found that dreadnoughts (tech 3) are the first ships I've gotten that can rival capital ships and they've become my most produced unit. Finally, I recommend consolidating your many small fleets into a few big fleets and stationing them at important choke-points, which I decided were ord mantell, duro, and roche asteroids.
