This game is technically what got me into the tactical shooter genre. I remember being in love with the idea of a Star Wars story that was mostly tense moments and didn’t really have a happy ending. It felt like a story about some soldiers that happened to be in Star Wars, not just another Star Wars story.

Bro the Multiplayer mods are great, especially if you join a discord server for it. There are a ton of links to em on the steam community boards. Definitely worth checking out 👌 there are even full tournaments going on

You should also check out Escape from butcher bay. One of the best fps games out there.

Gaming Pastime Not any more difficult than Republic Commando. Try to get the original version if possible and not the remastered one.

How did you get the Widescreen HUD and Graphics fixes working together? Because when I put the Widescreen HUD in, my HUD disappeared.

Try using the Original HUD texture file - www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-republic-commando-graphics-fix/downloads/original-hud-texture1 Also, the Steam version was played for this review.

I uninstalled my game and reinstalled it fully, along with the mods, and now it worked. I think something might've screwed up originally. Now it works. Thanks for the links to the mods.

One thing I don't think you mentioned in your review is that the enemies have strengths and weaknesses for certain weapons. Some enemies feel like bullet sponges because you're using the wrong weapon against them. All the clone weapons use ionized bolts, which are more effective against droids, but less effective against organics. Meanwhile, the Geonosian, Trandoshan and Wookie weapons are more effective against organics because that's what they were made to fight, but less effective against droids. Learning this, changed how I played significantly. But it's not really well explained. Only die-hard Star Wars fans would pick up on it.

well thats good because at least you wont lose your Partnership and have to apply once again to get it which has to be the dumbest thing youtube has done (maybe not) We are only 7 months old and dont have our 1000 subs and 4000 viewed hours yet so we will be losing it. THATS ROUGH and unnecessary but what can you do? its their ballgame and we are just small players that dont matter much I predict you guys will be rocking soon enough. I remember seeing the trailer for this on the xbox star wars the clone wars and tetris bundle pack and thinking it was a doom 3 survival horror type game with a star wars skin lmao.

Wish the AI can do more thing becuase they are not useful much when they arent in scripted defend spot also you can beat the game with just the pistol beside never let the AI on agressive mode alway make sure you control them 9/10 time i do see you not using the scripted cover for the AI much in the gameplay

No wonder your squad dies a lot, you have them in offensive formation 90 percent of the time, aka your constantly telling them to push forward regardless of opposition. And you don’t seem to order sniper positions and the like. You’re just a bad team leader ;)

As I stated in the review: "They’ll stay alive longer if you order them to get behind cover during a firefight but if you let them think for themselves they usually do a terrible job at staying out of harm’s way."

I think this game is a bit overrated. I enjoyed it, but not as much as Battlefront, KOTOR or Jedi Academy.

I feel like it's more underrated. Too few people have played it and it was far too short.
